He promised to decentralize the government and give more autonomy to the states. This is a part of that.

He is passing this issue to the states which is what he supports along with Trump supporters.

@stopplayingthegame , true. On the issue of gays and discrimination you have to go to a small business in rural Tennessee to actually find an example of a company having a "No Gays Allowed" sign. That's it. This isn't a big deal.
1
@stopplayingthegame , I agree discrimination is not common, that is my point. After the gay cake situation the debate came up on if businesses should discriminate or not. The left said that if allowed a lot of businesses will. However, the one example in the gay situation is a small business in rural Tennessee. Sure, discrimination will exist, but I feel it will be very rare. It is like the KKK. In a recent rally only 9 showed up. There were way more protesters.

For reasons like this. Repealing this law does not change anything but the far left will freak out over it annoying everyone.
1
Rico Williams , and it is working. The economy is improving and people's lives are improving.
1
Rico Williams , he is also bringing the nation back together. We were divided prior to Trump but now we are coming back together. The far left is the only group that is not willing to unite. But the far left is essentially dying. After the 2020 election they will practically be dead.
1
Rico Williams , no he hasn't. The only people who hate him are the far left. The far left has no desire to actually work with anyone (just listen to them and how dismissive they are of the right) thus you don't worry about them. They had a lot of support but lately they are losing support. Look at how TYT is losing views or how the women's march did not get nearly as many participates as in the past. The reality is this, Trump is uniting people and radicals of the far left are no longer gaining support.
1
@Falconsfan1020 , polls are unreliable. When more information is given opinions change. If far left ideas are so popular than why are far left candidates losing? In 2020 Trump will win by a wider margin than he did in 2016.

@masterofalltrades999 , high debt is arguably a sign of a strong economy as it shows lenders are willing to take more risks. What growing income inequality?
1
David Morris , no as the Constitution bans slavery.
1
What rights are being taken away?
1
@Shawn Brink , exactly.
1
@belesir8847 , ok, now where is that listed in the Constitution?
1
@belesir8847 , it was created by Obama because Obama played this game to where the next administration will either keep this or remove it. The one removing it, Trump in this case, could get ridiculed. Reality is that only the far left cares at this point because this is literally a non issue.
1
@thehowlinggamer5784 , those aren't rights.
1
@thehowlinggamer5784 , those aren't Constitutional rights, that is the point.
1
@knavishknight , I know what that says. That applies to government in that government can't discriminate. It doesn't say anything about private businesses.
1
This is inline with what Trump supports. He is leaving this issue to the states which is how it should be. This isn't a big deal.
1
@Black_Caucus , equal protection is in the 14th amendment, but the law has to exist to begin with. If there is no anti discrimination law on the books than the federal government do anything. Private homeless shelters have to follow the law, not the Constitution. As for public ones yes, they have to follow the Constitution. So states can discriminate but companies can. That is the point here. Also, public funding does not all go to public housing, some private homeless shelters receive it. The issue is that they receive for a particular purpose like a grant. No different than when a church receives tax dollars for a specific purpose, like to improve a part. So what part of the Constitution am I ignoring again?
1
It isn't.
1
Actually this is fighting fascism. This is giving the responsibility to the states which is state autonomy.
1
David Morris , what?
1
How is this regressive? This is leaving the responsibility to the states.
