This is not capitalism. This is the result of big government with too much power. But I guess as long as the government is providing you with social security and medicare than it is alright.

Craig Bowers All a business can do is offer you a job and a product. They can't force anything. Government can. If government has too much power then it can be bought. That is why we have to limit government so it can't be bought and corrupted. That is why the founding fathers placed strict limits on the government. You want government to punish business, and they will until someone offers them money to stop. I want them to not have the power at all.

Drm R There is a desire to have government, granted that it remains the servants and not the masters. You do that by keeping government as local as possible. That is why the founding fathers wanted a limited federal government and more local governments. You can have your food inspection at the state and local level. Problem is that you feel we need government so much that you want to expand the federal government and try to find justification to do it, in this case you pick food inspection. So great, they inspect your food. Meanwhile, they are taking bribes from people with money and you can't stop them. I, on the other hand, realize that we can have all the government services we need for domestic issues at the state and local level which also gives us the ability to control government thus limiting corruption.
