Also, Medicare, Medicaid and SS are a major reason why our debt is so big and those programs have been growing for decades where defense spending has been shrinking for decades. Those "cuts" are a drop in the bucket overall in terms of cost where the increase in defense spending is a drop in a bucket as well. Kyle, once again, shows his economic illiteracy.

  4. Defense is a role for the federal government. SS, Medicare, Medicaid, SS, and college funds aren't. This budget does two things. 1. It increases defense spending where for years it has been dropping 2. It slows down welfare spending where for years it has been growing and gives more responsibilities to the states.

  10.  @williebooker8682  , PCE is, arguably, more reliable than CPI which is why the Fed uses PCE at times. The Boskin Commission adjustment is, arguably, more reliable than CPI where both suggest that inflation is lower compared to CPI. You support CPI because it produces the highest rate despite the many shortcomings it has.
