@pcprincipal9517 the death rate is low. You can blame Trump all you want but he did all he can do. What makes you think anyone else would have led to less deaths? Also, deaths are dropping.

@darrenmichaelsen8908 hindsight is 20/20. Trump banned travel and was called a xenophobic. Admit it, no matter what Trump would have done you would criticize him for it. TDS is strong with you.

@darrenmichaelsen8908 not saying you, but others did. Democrats and the media did. Trump has limited power as the president. He cannot mandate what states do. If he would have forced a shutdown many democrat ran states would have opposed him, you know it. Do not lie to yourself. For how many years the left has calling him a fascist and dictator this was the one time he can act like that but did not. Instead he left the issue up to the states like he always does. And he did not downplay the situation, he was remaining calm which we should do. When you panic emotions get the best of you and you make irrational decision. Dan Crenshaw explained this well with Bill Maher. The US has a lower death per captia compared to Italy and Spain, funny you bring them up. Sweden did no lock downs and did better than Italy and Spain. Deaths are low. Compare deaths per cases. 1000 now with 60,000 cases compared to 3000 in the past with 30,000 cases.

@fahimp3 great, I am looking at the same numbers. Not compare it to cases. In April we were seeing around 30,000 cases a day, now we are seeing around 60,000 cases a day. More cases, less deaths. That is positive progress. You can't deny that.

@fahimp3 I have been keeping a tab of the worldometer stats open on my computer everyday and have been monitoring it. I know the stats well.

@anmolt3840051 beating other European nations.

@darrenmichaelsen8908 I am not saying they would have opposed the lock downs. Lock downs were on the states. Also, federal laws cannot violate the Constitution. You should learn more about law. And yes, it is panicking. There have been zero positive news on the positive progress we are making. With cases dropping Fauci is now saying to wear goggles and Birx says we need to reset. Cases dropped again today. And many businesses are still being force to shut down. 160,000 in a nation of over 327 million is low in the big picture. Japan has a different culture. There is a reason why they have the highest life expectancy in the world, it is because of their culture, not because of government. Same with South Korea.

He isn't wrong. As Cuomo said, people are going to die. Deaths with the virus is low now compared to April. He is right on that point.
1
@fahimp3 but still low. 1000 a day is low compared to near 3000 a day we had in April.
1
@fahimp3 how is it misleading? If cases go up but deaths are low, that means we have a way to take on this virus.
1
@fahimp3 statistics is not a strong subject for you

@fahimp3 hard to use population. In the US we are simply a society that is willing to take more risks. That is in our culture. That compared to Germany who has a higher uncertainty avoidance according to Hofstede cultural dimension. Taking more risks will lead to more deaths, but arguably more success as shown throughout our history of this nation. Also, comparing it to cases is better as it shows that even with higher cases we are able to cure the patients now. They tried to compare us to Germany who has around 2500 cases per million and around 110 deaths per million. We have around 15,000 cases per million and around 480 deaths per million. We also have more tests per million. So it is fair to use cases are opposed to population because it shows that even with people becoming infected we can take on this virus.
