  1. Superdelegates are designed to prevent outsiders from coming into a party and messing it up. Republicans and democrats don't have to have a primary. They do to give voters a choice of who should be their candidates, but in the end they can choose who they want. Democrats just have stricter rules. People need to remember that Bernie was never a democrat until recently. His supporters never even heard of him and also weren't democrats until recently. Just allowing anyone to enter a party will lead to even worse politics. Bernie and his supporters can always create their own party. But of course it is much easier to take over another one instead of actually working. Not surprising considering the mindset of Bernie and his supporters.
