norespawns Define "serious condition". There is a lot of gray area there. Also, how do you determine if something is serious without evaluating it? And how long do you wait for that?

Shade Blackwolf How long do you have to wait?

Daniel Pierik So you think the government can pay for it?
1
Daniel Pierik What is "decent coverage"? Why do you want to regess to the norm? And S. Korea has s high suicide rate showing flaws in their system.
1
Daniel Pierik No as you have not defined decent. I want high quality care, why do you set the bar so low?

Daniel Pierik Read the book The Business of Health. In that book they did statistical analysis showing that single payer is not any better than what the US has.

Daniel Pierik 45,000 people are 0.01% of the population. Every system has flsws and shortcomings. How many die or become worse off in other systems because of them? 35,000 die in traffic accidents a year, should we ban driving to save those people?

Daniel Pierik 45,000 people is 0.01% of the population. You cannot definitely say that the only reason why they die is because of lack of health care. Nothing shows that. Also, no system is ideal. Other countries face shortcomings where people die. It comes down to what system, overall, produces and progresses the most. In comparison to car accidents, we can save 35,000 people's lives by banning driving. Or we can allow driving knowing it will progress us while leading to a minor amount of tradagies. We can go socialist in health care, but if it lowers quality and hinders research, is that any better?

Daniel Pierik The US is by far the world leader in research and innovation in health care. Sp yes, single payer hinders progress in health care. You are starting to fall apart

sprybug The vast majority can afford health care. Also, as technology improves health care should become cheaper in the free market. But we don't have a free market system, we have a for profit system with a lot of government involvement leading to higher prices. You want everyone to have affordable care that sucks, I want people to have high quality care.

Nutrollio Nutz Germany is a poor comparison. For decades it was split in two and also had the Nazi regime. Before that it was an economic mess.

Tony Hargrove Cops are locally ran and funded. 70 percent of fire fighters are volunteer. Schools are locally ran and funded. Please learn how our country is ran before you talk.

Doug Nico If you want to provide health care to more people then become a doctor.

May the Science be with You You have no idea how insurance works.

袁子盁 Someone has to provide health care and education. What if people refuse to provide it? It isn't just about taxes.
1
袁子盁 If so many support medicare for all then why did Trump and the Republicans win and why did 80 percent of voters voted against it in Colorado?
1
袁子盁 We lack doctors, nurses, researchers, etc. How do you provide health care when you lack supply? Compare it to this, you have 20 people and 5 cars. Now how does everyone get a car?
