Jonathan, you have displayed time and time again you are not studying to be a physician. To give you examples why 1. You claim that if I were to get killed in a car accident it would be because of poor healthcare coverage 2. You claimed that every murderer murdered people because they did not have access to healthcare 3. You did not know that someone can be covered from their spouse's healthcare plan 4. You did not know what was in the Coloradocare bill I can go on but now you are making a claim without citing it. "We are getting notifications around the clock saying that AMCAS(American Medical College association Service) who is the entire American medical college association(Not counting AACOMAS who accounts for 36 more medical schools, except DO), are completely opposed to this bill and want to do the medicaid expansion?" Where are you getting that? " Wait so would a senator who is getting huge donations to get this bill off a better source or the entire American Medical College association? " That is some Alex Jones conspiracy there. What makes you think Rand Paul is receiving donations? Jonathan, you are a fraud.

MrJc9600, a couple things. One, site your source on thee AMA. Next, you have to realize what expanding the federal government's role in healthcare will mean for doctors. It will mean they can increasing their asking prices making them richer. Just like universities did with tuition when the federal government started the student loan program. In a free market system doctors will have to compete. In a universal system doctors can just jack up their prices as they have a guarantee paycheck from the government. Also, as in with teachers, they can unionize and create a tenure like program as well.

And politicians that get elected to keep single payer will become rich and powerful while you struggle on the care they offer you.

Mckenzie .Latham, Comrade Sanders does not have a plan. His plan has been challenged many times and he has never given a strong rebuttal. All he says is that his plan will save your money. That raising your taxes will save you money. He never mentions what the quality will be like, how it will be ran, and how much money it will save. All he does is tell you it will save you money as if we are supposed to believe him.

Sha Dow, read this book. https://www.aei.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/-the-business-of-health_110115929760.pdf And before you cry out "AEI", consider that it is a book written by two professors in that field, they list all of their sources, and they give all of their methods. That means if you criticize the book criticize what is in it with intelligence. Not doing so means that you are ignorant on the topic and your opinion does not matter.

There are many private fire departments in the US and around 70% of fire fighters are volunteer.

MrJc9600, after WWII federal government spending was 14% of GDP, now it is 20% of GDP. That while defense spending has been dropping for around 50 years. In the 60s and 70s we expanded the payroll tax and created the EPA, OSHA and department of ed. Saying we have been under "trickle down economics" (which is not an economic term by the way) for years means you are either lying or are clueless. Tell me, how did we start "tilting regulations" with the creation of the EPA and expanding the federal government?

Democratic socialism is socialism. Just because you vote for your dictator doesn't make it better. N. Korea is officially called the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

"Yeah so what? i can call myself the queen of the moon, even get it laminated on a business card, i guess that makes it so." My point was that people saying "democratic socialism" are pulling wool over your eyes. People call someone like Bernie Sanders a "democratic socialist" and that is what he supports when he is clearly a communist.

"A living wage is a wage that a person can actually live on" And that is based on what? Living in a one bedroom by yourself or living in a studio apartment with 2 roommates? Owning a car or just walking to work? Being able to live to 79 years (the average life expectancy in the US) or to 64 years (the standard deviation of life expectancy in the US is 15 years)? Owning a smart phone or not? Calling for a "living wage" with no standards set is not an argument. It is purely appeal to emotions.
