To the left it is. They present science in a vague way leaving out a lot of information. In fact, they hardly cite scientists which is why they listen to a teenage girl instead.

Derek Hitt same with everything else like racism. The left just throws out one liners and talking points. They have no actual arguments.

The left denies the science. Climate change is a complex issue. In fact, a Nature paper reported that there has been no significant change in droughts in 60 years.
2
@ojh7025 I showed you. Climate change is complex. The left is pushing this idea that it is a major threat and we need to act now. That is not true. The left pointed to the IPCC report saying we have 12 years to act. However, one of the lead authors of the report, Myles Allen, said that was deceptive. He said "My biggest concern is with the much-touted line that “the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says we have 12 years” before triggering an irreversible slide into climate chaos. Slogan writers are vague on whether they mean climate chaos will happen after 12 years, or if we have 12 years to avert it. But both are misleading." But you won't hear that message from the left. That is why the promote a teenage girl on the stage as opposed to actual scientists to speak on their behalf. When you don't even listen to what the scientists actually say you are denying science.

@hubblebublumbubwub5215 a nature paper has said there has been no significant change in droughts in 60 years.
2
our hair defies gravity so can we exactly. They are doing it with both the fires and the virus.
2
He actually cited a climate scientist in that episode. Who did Kyle cite? Also, the left does blame individuals. Consider the GND in how the left wants us to drive electric cars.
1
@jakedemedeiros9978 care to prove that? Also, still more than Kyle has done. Who has Kyle cited?
1
@ojh7025 uh, every scientist is saying climate change is real. The questions are how much man plays a role, is it even a threat, and what should we do?

@ojh7025 read the Popular Technology article entitled "1350+ Peer-Reviewed Papers Supporting Skeptic Arguments Against ACC/AGW Alarmism"

@sadpee7710 I work in academics for a living, it is not cutthroat but highly political. Many advance in academics simply by their connections, especially in admin. I recently received an email from the "Associate Vice President of Enrollment". What kind if position is that? As for consensus, in many fields there hardly is a consensus. In fact, one issue with academics, and why employers refuse to hire those with Doctorates is that if you get a group of doctorates together all they do is argue and get nothing done. If there were a consensus there will be no argument. You do not prove nor disprove science. Science is driven on doubt and has the ability to change when more research is done. That is what makes it so great. There is so much we do not know. For example, we do not know, physically, how photosynthesis happens.
1
@sadpee7710 I also work in science. I do science research at a university. Science is vague. Basically with science you throw shit on the wall and see what sticks. There is a process, but in one of my recent papers that is what we did, we tried different models that no one has done before and obtained good results. The paper was published. As for climate science and your rant, there are still a lot of question. Them being how much does man play a role? Is current climate change a threat? And what should we be doing? That is why no one on the left can get an actual scientist to stand up and speak for them. Reason why is that we know so little. For example, take photosynthesis. I was at a presentation where the guy there does 2D EV for his research and a part of that is studying photosynthesis. He showed a picture out of a 7th grade textbook that discussed photosynthesis showing the irony that it is a process taught at that young of a level but we do not know how it occurs physically. How can an incoherent light source, as in the sun, cause a quantum coherence within a plant leading to energy transfer that is over 90% efficient when it should be less than 50% according to theory? Now expand that concept of how little we know to the entire ecosystem. That is why we cannot say if climate change is a threat or not. The ecosystem has evolved for millennia. Why would it stop now?
1
@sadpee7710 those questions are current. Consider this, we do not know how photosynthesis occurs physically, what makes you think we know how an entire ecosystem will react to current climate change? As for scientists, the left rather have a teenage girl be on stage as opposed to scientists.

Tucker isn't denying climate change. The issue is that when we see something like these fires the left jumps immediately to climate change. Not mismanagement of forests but instead climate change. And you will be hard pressed to find climate scientist that blame extreme weather events on climate change. And is it getting worse? Kyle is failing at science. Again, Tucker quoted a climate scientist in that episode, Kyle cited no one.
1
You don't "believe" in science. Science is driven on doubt. The point is that the left presents science in a vague and deceptive way to push a political agenda. They leave out a lot of details and even at that they hardly cite scientist.
1
@luismurillo5855 what drives science is doubt. As a scientist myself there are two words I never say, belief and prove. Science is not related to any of those. You can have a degree of certainty, but there is always doubt.
1
@luismurillo5855 as for your sun point, let us use that for example. Why does the sun "rise"? Because there is a balance between the earth's linear velocity and the gravity attraction between the sun and the earth. Ok, now what is gravity? Immediately you are now stuck. So you say the sun "rises" but in reality cannot, fully 100%, explain why. Watch Richard Feynman's video entitled "Richard Feynman. Why" He talks about magnets.
1
@luismurillo5855 there is always doubt. Why is the earth round? Well because that is the lowest potential energy state. What potential energy? Again, gravity. Now what is gravity? What caused the earth to exist in the Goldilocks Zone? You are looking at a very specific point, the earth is round. But you are ignoring the much bigger picture.
1
@luismurillo5855 it does. You say you believe that the sun "rises", what causes it to "rise"? Science is driven on doubt. As Richard Feynman said, there are degrees of certainty, but there is always doubt.

A Nature paper reported that there has been no significant change in droughts in 60 years.
1
Watch the whole thing, he cites a climate scientist. Kyle cites no one. Kyle is hiding things from you.
1
@Chef-Soda what did you research?
1
@kuja2049 the "consensus" argument has been debunked. Read Prof. Mike Hulme's book "Why We Disagree About Climate Change" Man plays a role, we do not know by how much or if it is even a threat.
1
@kuja2049 climate change has been happening for over 4 billion years.
1
@Chef-Soda uh, I just cited an entire book by a climate scientist. This same professor recently published a paper in the journal Nature Climate Change. Here is a quote about him from an article "Mike Hulme, also a professor at the University of East Anglia and a contributor to IPCC reports, wrote in 2009: “What is causing climate change? By how much is warming likely to accelerate? What level of warming is dangerous? - represent just three of a number of contested or uncertain areas of knowledge about climate change.”" Also, read the popular technology article entitled "1350+ Peer-Reviewed Papers Supporting Skeptic Arguments Against ACC/AGW Alarmism" And this same video Kyle is referencing Tucker cited a climate scientist. The video is entitled "Tucker: Democrats, fires and the climate misinformation campaign" But no, I do not get my information from Fox News.
1
@Chef-Soda I agree cutting down on emissions and pollution, but you can't force it. There becomes a balance. Say we follow the GND and nothing changes, now we have a bad economy. Very few want to increase emissions. Most want to decrease them. Most who speak about this issue are out of their realm. In fact, most of the video is Tucker explaining that how lawyers now being politicians are preaching us on science. And the double standard they have in how Pelosi has two freezers using up all this energy when the mayor of LA is wanting to cause blackouts.
1
@Chef-Soda also, you can apply that same standard to Kyle. Science is outside of his realm as well.
1
Cthulhu In the deep how did I lie? No one denies climate change. The issue is that little is known. Such as how much does man play a role? Is it even a threat? And what can we actually do? You clearly do not know my stance. You, like most on the left, automatically assume that I am a denier where I never once denied climate change. You are a complete hack.
1
Cthulhu In the deep again, a quote from him ""Mike Hulme, also a professor at the University of East Anglia and a contributor to IPCC reports, wrote in 2009: “What is causing climate change? By how much is warming likely to accelerate? What level of warming is dangerous? - represent just three of a number of contested or uncertain areas of knowledge about climate change.”" So again, I never said he denied climate change, and neither do I.
1
The left made it that way. It is a complex issue.
