Unions are valuable, but forcing people to join a union is thuggery on their part. Unions can be just as corrupt and bad as corporations. If someone does not want to join a union then fine, give them no protection if they are fired.

Smith, I would agree with that as well.

A pizza manager also works more than 180 days a year.

Didn't watch the video but if Kyle made that statement I would not be surprise.

Uh, in blue states they have many situations for teachers that are terrible. Look at the situation in CA for example.

Compare teacher pay to cost of living, I bet you will not be #50 anymore.

The past decade we have been in a recession.

SkyTech RTS, after a few years your plans are set and you do the same thing over and over again.

sharper68, even after the New Deal we still had boom and bust situations (not cycles as cycles are patterns). We had the great inflation period of the mid 60s to early 80s.

The New Deal was hands on government that prolong the recession creating a depression. After the war we went to hands off government and that led to economic growth (along with every other country rebuilding). In the mid 60s we went back to hands on government and Keynesian economics and we had the great inflation period up until the 80s where we went back to hands off government leading to strong growth in the 80s and 90s. People who claim that FDR and the New Deal were great for the economy also feel that Matt Millen was great for the Detroit Lions.

Johnny Q, no one paid that 90% rate, that is why the Tax Reform Act of 1969 was passed. In 1967 there were 155 Americans that earned over $200,000 that paid $0 in federal taxes, that includes someone who made $23 million. That created the push for a tax reform which created the alternative minimum tax. During the creation of the New Deal you had many acts put in place that were stopped such as the Agriculture Adjustment Act for example.

Ryan Davis, people like to listen to both sides of the issue and come up with their own conclusion. I watch both. While I disagree with Kyle on a lot of issues, he is a radical on the left and it does make me consider left wing positions on the issues. Same with Crowder, I disagree with things he does, but he does make me consider right wing positions on the issues.

Those positions are usually part time positions. My professors has a masters and a full time job at a bank. He teaches a course on the side for fun and some extra spending cash. I am earning a PhD. If I worked in the private sector I would also teach a class like that on the side. People who do that know what they are getting themselves into.

SkyTech RTS 1. There are loan forgiveness programs for teachers. Also, go to a cheaper college if you don't want loans 2. Not really. Most money they put in are for minor things like pens and pencils. 3. So? Don't have kids if you can't afford them. 4. After a few years your plans are set. Lesson plans are not difficult. Getting ready for next year is not difficult. They sign a 180 day contract, $42,000 is high for that.

SkyTech RTS, stop with the student loan bit. An education degree is cheap and they have loan forgiveness programs. As for money back in the classroom, that is minute and most jobs requires one to invest their own money.
