  1. Chicago pipes are old like a lot of cities. It costs a lot to replace these pipes. Unless the lead reaches a level that is too high it is a non-issue. A little bit of lead will not harm you.

  3. StrikeWint17971, lead is in your body. A little bit of lead will not kill you. My dad works at a factory with lead in the air and he is fine along with others. It is not cost effective to remove all lead from water. And when I say cost effective, I am talking about resources and man power, not money.
