  1. Medicare for all will most likely happen. That does not mean it is what we need. Obamacare was designed to fail. But it was a step towards single payer as it increased the federal government's involvement in healthcare. People become dependent on the government and once that happened you can't change it. It is why we can't cut our debt because in doing so will require tax increases and budget cuts screwing over almost everyone in one way or another. In short, we have placed ourselves in a mess we will never get out of.

  3. mrbadguysan, I am not in poverty. I have a reliable car, my own apartment, food, etc. I am a grad student and so are my friends. We are not poor as we know how to manage our money. Do I have debt? Yes, in college loans that I will pay off later.
