  6.  @jeremygregorio7472  , better technology means more wealth. It means an easier life. Having a car that last longer, gets better gas mileage and is safer saves money. Having a smart phone means I don't have to buy a calculator, a radio, a TV, I have it all in one.

  7.  @whyamimrpink8723  , how? Please form that argument. There are other factors you have to consider as well such as people going to college more for example and thus starting a career later. It is similar to the whole argument of wage stagnation. While some data suggests it is happening, other data suggests it isn't. Such as PCE, GDP deflator and Boskin Commission adjustment shows wages out outpaced inflation.

  8.  @kyle9401  , new technology cost less. A brick cell phone, adjusted for inflation, cost around $4000 in the 80s. Now a smart phone is essentially free. Mine was. My smart phone has a calculator, alarm clock, internet access and many other things where a brick cell phone only made phone calls. Calling me dumb is not an argument.

  14.  @whyamimrpink8723  , please explain how? Break down the numbers. Fact is smart phones didn't exist in the 80s. Of brick cellphones not many owned them. By your standard even the poor should have owned them in the 80s like the poor own smart phones now. You just made my argument for me.

  20.  @GrahamBarth  , where did I display a lack of education? Someone with an 8th grade education is not going to find a good job and will struggle in life. That is the reality. I am a PhD student and I had no problem finding a grad school to attend. I will have no problem finding a job either. Why? Because I have an advanced education.

But you choose to ignore that. How about you criticize my content. I also noticed how you did not respond to my other comment when I asked you to form an argument.

  25.  @BLTspace  , people have to make sacrifices in life. If he made his at that young of an age then he should not complain. My parents made sacrifices in life to make sure I had a great life and I am now a PhD candidate. I appreciate what they did. My parent still struggle at times (even though things are getting better) but they are proud of their kids. There is a lot to this.
