Zidneya Abstinence is the best method in preventing pregnancies and STDs.

dffykvn "The rates of teen pregnancy in places that teach abstinence only show something completely different." And did I say one thing about teaching abstinence? No. Please learn to read.

dffykvn Abstinence is the best method to practice if one wants to avoid STDs and pregnancies. Noticed how I said practice and not teach.

I like it. This is what happens when you attack certain groups. They want to give health insurance, but when you violate their religious rights well the best approach is to just get rid of it. Sorry liberals, but this is what you wanted. And the best way to prevent pregnancy is abstinence. Not saying people should follow it, just pointing out where Kyle is wrong again.

cne08 You can't get pregnant if you don't have sex.

Solita Furude " you do know that the states that push abstinence" And I don't support pushing for abstinence. So what is your point? I was just correcting a statement that Kyle got factually wrong.

thewanderandhiscomp "Abstince only education has no effect on sex behavior" I agree. Now go back and read my comments again. Did I once say that we should push for abstinence only education? Spoiler alert, the answer is no. And I don't support abstinence only education. What I did say was the Kyle was incorrect in saying contraceptives are the best way to prevent pregnancies. The best way to avoid it is to not have sex all together. There is a huge difference in what I said and what you are saying.

Feras Al Hati For what?

Feras Al Hati You don't have a right to other people's services.

cne08 Healthcare is not a right.

cne08 "then according to you, you don't have a right to go into someone's business and buy something from them. " If they don't want to sell me something then yeah, that is true.

***** "all the college had to do was fill out a form and the funding for the contraception would have come from elsewhere. " It still would have been a part of a plan they offered and they didn't want to offer that plan. So yes their religious rights were under attack. "they had the right to force others to pay for it." They are not forcing anyone to pay for anything. A person does not have to get insurance or contraceptives.
1
***** And I shouldn't be force to pay for contraceptives, but for some reasons people think others should. "And how does one's religious objections have credence over those who may not necessarily believe the same thing?" The students can always go to another university. This is a private university and they can run it how they please. That is their right.
1
***** "Even private universities have to follow the law." They are in this case. "And why should students have to go to another university " Because that is a choice they have to make. You have to make choices in life, choose wisely. My university forces me to buy healthcare insurance (I get it paid for thanks to a TA offer) and I could choose a school that doesn't require that. It is my choice. "and the state would have paid for the contraceptives" It doesn't matter who pays for it, they don't want it offered in their plan.
