bohemianwriter1 "It is the task of government to impose taxes, and promote common welfare"
Common welfare means common, thus covering everyone equally . Thus you should be in favor of at least a federal flat income tax, but really a tax on the states and not individuals.
"If you think that your highways, police, justice dept, fire dept, schools, libraries, hospitals"
Most of those are funded by the local governments, something I am very supportive of. The federal government doesn't fund any fire dept. or any police or local library. And spends a very small amount on education when compared to the local level.

bohemianwriter1 " So give us one example where deregulation. tax cuts on the rich,
cutting welfare programs, and pensions while privatizing everything has
work. "
On deregulation? After WWII. On tax cuts? Why did you just pick the rich? Anyway there has always been tax cuts on the rich either by just doing it or through loop holes. Cutting welfare? Welfare at the federal level has been a disaster, like the "War on Poverty" for example. Who is supporting privatizing everything?
"Give us a one concrete example where FDR prolonged recession and how he killed jobs"
Longest recovery from a recession ever. Also happened during the largest increase in federal spending during a a time when we were not at war ever.
"So again, tell us when the last time a republican president has balanced
the bugdet and left office in a better shape than he came to it in?"
Congress controls the budget, last time we has a surplus was with a republican congress. For the second part the answer with Reagan.
"If FDR was so bad, howcome it was under him that the strong middle class was created?"
We didn't have a strong middle class under him.
"How would a trickle down economy where your industrial masters are
dictating the terms would create a strong and independent middle class?
Has the middle class grown, or shrunk during Bush and Reagan?"
Trickle down economics is a political term. How as the middle class grown? More disposable income, more access to goods and services that are better. The middle class has improved.
"And why is it so that every time a democratic president has left office, he has left it better than his republican predecessor?"
You mean like Carter?
"You can also tell us why it's the red states who are the big takers from
the federal budgets, while the liberal blue states are the biggest
contributors if it's true that only your republican economical ideology
creates jobs and prosperity? For exactly WHO does your republican
economical "theories" create wealth for?"
Define a "red state" or a "blue state". When you look at that that argument falls apart, even some of the most liberal blogs admit that. The "republican economical theories" create wealth for all.
Too easy.

bohemianwriter1 "And your example? In what way did the recession last longer?"
Pure numbers, other recessions lasted around 5 years, the Great Depression lasted over 10 years. It took the war and FDR's death to finally get a recovery.
"He created the strong middle class. He taxed the rich, and created jobs
with them. Factory jobs. Well paid jobs. With security, pensions and
social security. It's programs like that you want to destroy, because
you would rather give that money to the "free market". "
He didn't create anything. The economy was falling behind, poverty was up, unemployment was up and he debt was up. And the policies he created are a problem now such as social security.
"Did Reagan leave with a surplus and Carter leave with a deficit? He dod"
Carter left with a recession and high inflation, and within 2 years we recovered. Now compare that to Obama now. 7 years later where are we? Still behind.
Yes Reagan help lead us to a better economy.
"I bet you would rather live in Minnesota, California, Oregon or Washington than Wisconsin, Kansas, or Mississippi. "
I literally live a stone's throw away from CA and I intend to keep it that way for a while. CA is a mess, so is Oregon. In a few years I do plan on moving to the midwest and KS looks great. But CA is a complete mess. Go there, it isn't fun.
Detroit has been ran by democrats for a long time.
