  2. There are issues with a UBI, rent freeze and hazard pay. To start, a UBI is pointless if there is not anything to buy. My grocery store is recommending ordering online two days in advanced as they are running out of goods due to people not working. A UBI will make it worse. Rent freeze will cause landlords to go bankrupt leaving the rentals to the banks. Hazard pay will lead to hazard pay for other jobs that don't happen during the crisis. Also, we do not know how dangerous virus really is.
