I agree. If you are against the cops than the cops will stop serving you. See how much you like it.

They have a police escort so they can get to the stadium in a timely manner and safely. But I agree with the cop's stance on this. If the players have that much of a problem with cops than the cops shouldn't serve them.

chownful Fans do throw rocks and stuff at the bus, especially in Philly. In Oakland fans throw batteries at the team as they walk on and off the field.

Pooh Bear But there are very few, if any corrupt police officers. I agree, go after the corrupt ones. Problem is that they are the extreme minority and there really isn't a problem. Also, cops are locally ran and funded. The cops can still do their job. They just won't include giving police escorts to the football team as a part of that job.

***** 1. yes they are 2. for the most part they are 3. they are not shutting down free speech, if they were they would be arresting them

Kortez Cops are unionized. I thought liberals love unions? So whenever those fast food workers go on strike should they get fired? Or when teachers go on strike? Or union workers go on strike?

Rebecca Hybarger Cops are unionized. So just like when teachers refuse to do their job as a union, cops can as well. Or is this a case where liberals pick and choose what unions they like.

Pooh Bear Anecdotal evidence is weak. The stats show that corruption in the police force is essentially null. I am not saying it doesn't exist, I am also not saying we shouldn't be keeping an eye on the cops. But crying wolf is not the answer. If the KKK want a police escort they will have to pay for it.

Rebecca Hybarger Clearly you don't know how unions and strikes work. I guess you don't support "workers rights".

Pooh Bear Because corruption in police is extremely low and essentially a null point. Does it exist? Yes. Is it a major problem? No. We have a checks and balance system to hinder it. It is no different than we have a people that get mugged at night in the US. But that isn't a major problem. If it were I wouldn't walk around alone at night. But I do because muggings are not a major problem. They are crying wolf. They are saying corruption is a huge problem. But when we actually look into it one finds out that it isn't. So the one time they do bring up rare case where it is legit, you can't take them serious. But as a whole the police departments do take care of it like what happened in the Kathryn Johnston case.

Rebecca Hybarger I know there are contracts. There are also unions dues where if a union did strike the workers can still get paid. Educate yourself. That is how union workers are able to go on strike and not work which will directly violate their contract.

WinterXL Because corruption is low. The vast majority of these examples that groups like BLM bring up are not example of corruption. The Michael Brown incident is a great example. In checks and balances, police are ran and funded locally. The more local government it the more control the people have on it. There are limitations on government as listed in the constitution as well. So those two situations combine lead to the people being able to control the police. My local police are fine. e have no problems. All you can personally worry about is your local police. Same with others. Typically when things seem like they are not getting done it is because we don't have a problem.

WinterXL I said a lot that was important. You just don't like the answer. Just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean it doesn't have any substance.
