@saintsfearful , it won't be private construction companies because they will charge out the ass with such high demand. Thus the government will have to take over. Plus, there will be a ton of jobs being lost and you have to do something with those workers. Private insurance has a need, problem is that federal government policies made them too powerful.

People do view Bernie is a communist. Bernie fans live in a bubble and don't understand how the world works. Watch Stephen Michael Davis's video entitled "David Pakman GETS RATIOED By Delusional Progressives" He talks about how people on the far left like Kyle, Cenk and Bernie feel that all we need to do is "fight" to get the programs they want, as if it is that easy. Reality is that people don't support the policies they do.

@e.d.r1546 , Nordic nations have more of a flat tax and more of a free market compared to the US. They are a market economy and is essentially the complete opposite of what Bernie wants.

@AslanW , they do. Denmark, for example, has their highest tax bracket at those who earn around $55,000 a year or more. In the US it is at $400,000 a year or more. Nordic nations have more of a flat tax compared to the US.

@AslanW , yes, but Denmark's top tax bracket covers more people. Right now the US top tax bracket is on people earning $400,000 a year. In Denmark the top tax bracket covers people earning around $55,000 a year. Their top tax bracket covers a higher percentage of people. In the US the top tax bracket covers around 0.01% of the population. In Denmark their top tax bracket covers around 60% of their population. That is a considerable difference.

@AslanW , again, Denmark's highest tax bracket covers a much larger percentage of people than the US highest tax bracket does. If Bernie wants to follow what Denmark and other Nordic nations do he will raise taxes on the majority of people placing the majority in the highest tax bracket, not just the top 1 percent. Also, Nordic nations have lower corporate tax rates as well. "Or do you think it's a better idea to raise the taxes for everyone instead of just those who earn more than enough money? " That is what they do in Denmark.

But the titled is "Top Income tax rate: How the US really compares" As for my 60%, I am incorrect in that was the tax rate, however, the median income in Denmark is around $43,000 a year, close to $55,000. The US median income is around $63,000 a year, much farther away (around 7 times that) than the top income bracket. Looking closer yes, the top tax bracket covers around 10% (a little over) but in the US it only covers the top 0.01%. 10% is much more people compared to 0.01%. Also, you have the VAT tax as well. So there is that. You told me to "google it", I did.

@spindoctor358 , one, what misinformation did I spread? I literally gave facts on taxes. Next, I am not a libertarian, I am a moderate that challenge far left ideas. As for calling Sam, the issues are 1. Time. As a graduate student things are constantly coming up and 2. Even if I did call Sam and burn him his fans won't care. The far left is delusional at that point. With this Aslan guy, I am literally pointing out how Denmark has more of a flat tax compared to the US as their highest tax bracket covers more people. To put it in a statistical way, the highest tax bracket is around 1.3 times higher than the median income where in the US the highest tax bracket covers people who earn around 6.3 times higher than the median income.
