Just like how people are going blind under your system by being denied eye surgery.

810 land , ok, so I am walking home and get hit by a bus and instantly die. Is that because of our poor medical system? Did I have an early death because of our medical system?
3
@DevinHeida so suffering means a system is a success?
2
@UnstoppableFloridaMan good luck getting a full answer
2
@SaraphDarklaw covers everyone is different than providing access
2
810 land , other nations live longer because of their healthier lifestyle. We are number 1 in obesity rates for OECD nations.
2
810 land , that is a factor in why they live longer. Healthcare is complex. There is no direct 1 to 1 correlation between healthcare system and life expectancy. There is a correlation but there are other factors at play.
2
810 land , many factors influence those stats. You say cancer treatment when the US is number 1 in cancer survival rates.
2
810 land , it isn't my opinion, it is a fact.
2
Prophet , well, I am busy. I just got my comments on my paper that I need to address so it can get published.
2
@stonedaurelius6496 , exactly. The far left either are ignorant or refuse to accept that different factors influence stats. They lack reasoning and logic.
2
810 land , they obtain the drugs from us. Their R&D is nothing compared to us.
2
810 land , people die in all nations because of "preventable diseases"
2
@DevinHeida , people die in every nation because of lack of access. Amenable mortality is an issue in every nation.
1
, true. We have higher obesity rates than those nations. Also, you have to factor in culture. Saying that Americans will be willing to pay over 50% in taxes, have a centralized government manage healthcare, and lower our expectations of healthcare is foolish. Our society won't accept that. If that is good or bad is discussion worth having, but it is a complex and long one that far leftists don't want to have.
1
So asking tough questions makes them a joke?
1
@MuhammadAhmed-qh7ut , how?
1
@MuhammadAhmed-qh7ut , I know a lot about politics. They asked legit questions. If they were dumb questions Bernie would be able to squash them as opposed to dance around them.
1
You can as he clearly doesn't know what he is talking about.
1
@Rafael_Fuchs , it won't work. If things are so bad as Bernie claims why hasn't his ideas gained traction? You can blame corruption all you want but even at the state or local level they haven't. Bernie's talking points boil down to 1. There are "problems" 2. There are simple ways to "fix" them 3. We don't because our nation is corrupt and/or ignorant The reality is that it is much more complex than that. For example, saying there are rich people does not mean there is a problem. How did they become rich? How does it harm my life? There are many difficult questions and Bernie and his fan base does not address.
1
It is.
1
@steelnation5110 , paying healthcare insurance is not a tax. Not to be rude but at this rate you are never going to get M4A with asinine statements like that. Read my comment towards Rias. The far left refuses to have an actual discussion. That is why Bernie threw his arms in the air acting like a child. If you want to gain traction on M4A you have to be willing to have a full conversation on the difficult issues.
1
@sprybug , if you look at other nations you have to look at the full picture such as them having lower survival rates.
1
@sprybug , again, many factors influence overall life expectancy. For example, you remove car accidents and murders the US is number 1 in the world for life expectancy.
1
@r.m.9188 , that is all the far left has. Look at how Bernie acted on stage, throwing his arms and yelling. I am all for having a discussion and admitting that M4A could be the best solution. But the arguments from the left are not honest and thus are not convincing. Simply saying it would be better sounds familiar. That is how Obamacare was passed.
1
810 land , they will be paid less and will require to take on more patients.
1
810 land , under Bernie's plan there will be a 40% pay cut to healthcare providers. So yes, they will be paid less. There will also be more patients.
1
@chadalpha7983 , wages won't be higher because the payroll tax will be higher.
1
@somerealnews6312 , many. Under Bernie's plan he said it will cost less. That is because payments to providers will drop 40%. To think that healthcare providers will provide the same type of goods and services and get paid 40% less is foolish. Let me ask you, if I cut your pay by 40% how will you react? Bernie claims we can negotiate drug prices down. Who will be doing the negotiation? And if you cap drug prices what do you think will happen to the supply and quality of the drugs? This is all making the assumption that healthcare providers will be willing to work for less. Other nations have lower payments because they cap how much healthcare is provided. For example, the US offers more CT scans per capita. The idea that we can expect the same style of healthcare at a lower price make zero sense economically. Maybe M4A is the best solution, but supporters like Bernie are either ignorant or lying.
1
810 land , we offer healthcare based on need as well.
1
@zidneya , what? It doesn't require someone's services to give you air.
1
810 land , they were preventable deaths. Amenable mortality exists in all nations. I bet you never heard of that term.
