For example, with Bernie they only polled people from Vermont. And it was an "approval rating" poll. Just because the people of Vermont approve of Bernie does not mean the nation likes him. And if you look at the trend in the data senators with high approval ratings reside in small states. For example, the top 4 senators are from Vermont and Wyoming, the two smallest states in the union. In all, the poll Kyle is pointing to means nothing in this election.
