  2. Do they directly fund abortions? No. But it allows PP to reallocate funds for abortions. For example, if the government were to give you money to spend only on food and you end up buying a flat screen TV because your grocery expense, from your own funds, is lower than on paper the government did not buy you a flat screen TV, it bought you food. But the reality is that you were able to buy that TV because you were able to take your own funds you would have used for food to buy a TV instead. So what your friend said is correct and is not delusional.

Sure, they may said "you can only spend these checks on X, Y, and Z", but in the end they gave you money when you were already earning money. That is different than if government were to fund you 100%. At that point they control where all of your money goes. You had money to begin with, the government gave you more so you can spend the money you had to begin with easier. Hospitals perform abortions too, so by giving money to them you're indirectly funding abortions, right? " I choose to give my money to a hospital. But you can say we have a choice in taxes. I can argue against that, but I will give it to you. But the hospital gets my money only when I use their services. I am not saying I support or oppose abortion, I am pointing out how that person's friend is right.

  5. Murder is illegal, the right wants to make abortion illegal. They are not pushing to make the instruments designed to abort a baby illegal. You see the connection? Not saying I agree with them, just showing how your argument can be destroyed easily.

  9. Even at that the military is restricted in what it can do thus it is not on the large scale. The military is there to serve the 50 states, not the 320+ million people.
