Yep, Kyle just played identity politics 101. Funny point is that Shahid Khan donated to Trump's campaign. He is not white.

NFL has to keep an imagine to lose fans. The face of the NFL are the players that the NFL owners pay millions to play, not get political. This is no different than a dress code at any other job.

Kyle just played identity politics there with the NFL owners.

Mike Lee, C Wilson is a troll. I do not say that about many people, but the will just curse and call you names. Best to ignore him.

mike lewis, what would those athletes do besides play football? Sure, they may find another job, but many of them would not have finished college, or enrolled in college if it weren't for the sports scholarship.

Exactly. It is a job and they have to do what their bosses say. There is an image side to it that the NFL has to maintain. These athletes are the face of the product and earn millions.

Beyond Fables, doctors can refuse to serve patients for numerous reasons as long as it is not a case of an emergency. Try to get political at your job, see how long you will last. Chances are you will get fired.

barrett wells, I do not like the anthem before games either but it is tradition and it is not going away. The NFL has the right to do this and they do are doing it for image. Do I agree? No. Do I agree with the kneeling? For the reasons why they do it I don't as I feel they are not protesting anything. I feel the whole thing is dumb and I just ignore it in the end and watch football.

Zidneya, it is a matter of respect. If you do not want to respect the flag than do not leave the locker room. I feel this whole situation is over blown and stupid, but this is a moderate approach. This type of rule has been in the NBA for years.

Captain Awesome, I agree they should not take money from the military, but they do. There are positive reasons why they do it. Most fans of football are men and it ends up becoming advertisement towards them for the military. Employers force employees to do a lot of things. The NFL has an image to keep so they are doing it. The NBA has been doing this for years. It is a matter of respect. I stand for the anthem for other countries. If they do not want to they should stay in the locker room. That is the balance. I support the Constitution, I support this country. This is a private entity enforcing this rule. These players can protest in other ways like members of the NBA do.
