"He would gut the government. " And that is bad how?

"big government isn't evil because when it is run with the right people" Which is who? How do you determine that? Wasn't Obama years ago supposed to be one of the "right people"? This is exactly why the founding fathers wanted strict limitations on all governments, especially the federal government. It was to prevent people from getting into power in government and oppressing others. Also, who the "right person" is to you is not the "right person" to someone else.

What makes you think that?

"But still I just think if we're able to have something as potentially great as our new government might as well use it to try to make everyone's life better" What is great for you might not be great for others. There is really no one ideal form of government as it can exist in many forms. That is why it is better to let the states decide. It does two things 1. You can micromanage policies better 2. The more local government is the more control the people have over it

Rand Paul is way better overall.

"the idea is that big corporations won't be able to donate to politicians in a democratic socialist state therefore eliminating the main cause of corruption." Yeah, because I am sure politicians with power will simply deny that big money. "The Libertarian world ejaculates to letting corporations have the freedom to essentially buy the government" You can give all the money you want to a government, but if it has limited power than it won't matter. That is the issue. That is why we have to limit the powers of the federal government so it can't be bought. You want to give it power and say "well in democratic socialism the politicians will all behave and not take brides." Really think about that.

". This is a consensus of 99% of the scientific community at this point, not just a guess." The "consensus" has been debunked. For example, one came from a questionnaire that only 29% of climate scientists actually responded to. To me that means up to 70% of them don't see it as a big deal.
