  1. Chase, you will be running a never ending race. The min. wage and UBI increase will cause inflation. What would be better is pushing people to create more wealth. More wealth means goods and services are better and cheaper.

  2. Protemp, economists argue over single payer healthcare a lot. Depending on who you ask economists will either be for it or against it. An intelligent economists will see both sides. Your viewpoint on economics is lacking.

  4. With UBI you are raising the floor in economics where zero is no longer zero. For example, I earn $23,000 a year (and live just fine off of it as a grad student). My rent is $600/month. I work for my money. Now if the government were to just give everyone $20,000 for just existing, what is going to stop my apartment complex from raising rent to $1200/month? They would as now the new minimum is $20,000 a year, not $0. That increases demand for my apartment thus rent goes up. That is why it is economic illiteracy. Some may say that we need it for automation, but we are not at that point yet. When we get there we can worry about it than. But what you are doing is increasing the amount of money people have without increasing the amount of goods and services.
