When they vote against it in Colorado by 80% then yes, people do not want it.

When put up to a vote to the people the people voted against it in Colorado.

It is relevant as when people are more informed they vote differently. Also the polls have been wrong lately. Remember, Trump was supposed to lose.
1
Fact is that you ultra liberals have nothing but polls to keep yourselves happy. Meanwhile the rest of the country is leaving you behind.

" hundreds of thousands..." Make up around 0.01% of the nation. You cannot say, with high certainty, that they reason why they die is only because of lack of healthcare.
1
"35000 to 45000 Americans die because of lack of healthcare every year." That is around 0.01% of the population. That is noise in statistics. You cannot say, with high certainty, that the only reason why those individuals die is because of lack of coverage, if that is a reason at all.
1
" Also 35000 to 45000 are a lot of deaths just because they didn't have healthcare" Again, 0.01% of the population. And you cannot say the reason why they die is because of lack of healthcare access. ". Also don't forget that healthcare is the number 1 cause of debt" We are a nation in debt and our largest debt is student loan.
1
"yeah 35000 deaths a year that could be avoided. " Nothing indicates that is the case. Most of those people are poor and because of personal choices and irresponsibility they are typically unhealthy to begin with. Even if you offer them care nothing indicates they will pursue it in a proper way. "Ok now please tell me why you hate single player so much," Don't hate it. I just know that after reading the numbers that what the US has is on par with single payer. You are digging the bottom of the barrel with the 35,000 people which is a minute amount of people that die for several reasons.
1
"most people are not poor because of personal responsibility," Yes they are. "Also many are unhealthy because they lack healthcare." Nope, poor choice in diet and exercise. It does not take healthcare to understand that you should eat healthy and exercise occasionally. ". Also what the US has is absolute garbage compared to single player, in fact America has the lowest life expectancy" If you remove car accidents and murder the US is number one in life expectancy. Point being is that there is a lot of factors involved in life expectancy. "Also I'm not digging the barrel 35000 people die every year because they don't have healthcare they have illnesses that could be easily treated with healthcare" They are unhealthy to begin with. And what makes you think they would pursue healthcare? "So once agin tell me why you hate it so much, are you getting paid by private insurance? Do you just hate poor people? Do you just hate America prospering? Why do you hate single player so much." I don't hate it. I just know that what the US has is on par with it. No need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

https://www.aei.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/-the-business-of-health_110115929760.pdf Read that book. They remove car accidents and murders for all countries. The point is not to say that the US is number one. The point is that the difference in life expectancy is so minute that any changes in the variables can lead to different results. Thus saying that the US has lower life expectancy thus they have poor healthcare is a shallow thing to say. There are many factors that contribute to life expectancy besides healthcare.

Jace thinks that Bernie is going to fly in with his unicorn and save everyone and that doctors are magically going to appear.

In the US you have a right to two services in this country, a jury and defense. If you are called for jury duty and refuse you are thrown in jail. If you are drafted and refuse you go to jail. If you sign up for the military and do not serve out your term you go to jail.

Medicare and universal education just hasn't been implemented correctly. All we need is Bernie Sanders and than it will work this time. We just need more government.
1
But yet it failed in Colorado by 80%.
1
Or maybe the system we have now is not terrible and people do not want higher taxes. People voted for republicans for that reason. Ultra liberals are living through polls while the rest of the country leaves you behind.
1
"With 45,000 people dying from lack of healthcare every year" That is around 0.01% of the population, that is noise. You cannot say, with high certainty, that the sole reason why they die is because of lack of healthcare, if that is even a reason why they die at all.
1
"So,because they are a small percent of the population,it doesn't matter?" No, they matter. I am saying it is noise. You are saying that the sole reason why they die is because of lack of healthcare access. You cannot say that. Those individuals are typically poor and have poor health to begin with due to personal life choices. Obesity and diabetes rates are higher for those in poverty for example. Also, those who are poor have a higher rate of teenage pregnancies and drop out rates which indicates being irresponsible. Those are factors that lead to them dying, not just lack of healthcare. "Around 30,000 people die from gun deaths every year, should we do nothing about it because it's a "small percent of the population"?" Around 2/3 of that are suicides. "That is why they died and there are studies that prove it. " The studies even admit their limitations. I am not saying it isn't a problem. I am saying that you can't just say that those 45,000 die only because of lack of healthcare access. Even if they have access to healthcare nothing indicates they would use it properly. Right now K-12 education is offered to everyone in the US but still 12% of the population do not have a high school diploma.

Police, fire departments (around 70% of fire fighters are volunteer), and schools are locally ran and funded.
1
" but it's federally required that every state and locality fund and run police/fire departments, and schools, not to mention roads, traffic lights, and other public programs." That is not true at all. States do not have to have an education system and if they do they can run it as they seem fit (within the confines of the constitution). In some parts of the country they have a private fire department. Such departments exist in TN and CA. Many country roads are not maintained well and if it snows it only gets cleared if some local volunteer their time to do it. A small town I grew up next to did not have any stop signs. So no, there is no federal mandate.
1
Ray, I will have no problem with a locally ran program. But you can't have the federal government mandate that the states have one.
1
The difference is that the more local government is the more control the people have over it. You can see if the government is actually working for you at the local level so that the government actually serves the people. Also, the more people you have in a program the harder it is for everyone to agree. Ever heard of the saying three people can agree on the toppings of a pizza after you kill two of them? Or something like that? Same thing.
1
Chris, the supremacy clause is not what you think. The reason why the US does not have slavery is because of a constitutional amendment. A prisons can use prisoners as slaves if it is a form of punishment.
1
" Whether you live in a state with a 5 million electorate or a country with a 200 million electorate, you have little actual "control" over how a program is ran. " Not true. I am active in my community and I am aware in what goes on. And if I do not like how my local government acts I can either change it or move and remain a US citizen.
