A lot of average Americans opposed this law.

It is an argument to be made. How else will you consider the strength of a healthcare system? Also, I never said it was the best in the world but is on par with other nations, we just have different issues.
1
@hitreset0291 in terms of per capita many European nations are higher in deaths.

James Williams old people are always at risk of death.

James Williams the older are always at a high risk of death all around.

@derekrequiem4359 good job ignoring nations like France, Italy, Sweden and Spain.
1
@derekrequiem4359 also, around half of our deaths are in three states, NY, NJ and MA.
1
@derekrequiem4359 there are many reasons for that. For example, Iceland is an island and is isolated. There is also the issue that the US has an obesity problem. And again, around half the deaths are in three states.

@mrjollyguy25 nope, never called Sam.

Joe Average been busy.

@gnomechomsky2524 I said we are on par with other nations. When you break it down the US does many things well, so do other nations. There are a lot of factors at play.
1
@gnomechomsky2524 we lead the world in R&D and access to advance care. Universal healthcare systems are great for very basic care such as routine check ups or if you are pregnant. It fails at advance care. That is because to give a large portion of the population basic care they have to free up the system by maxing how much advance care one gets. In other nations they eventually stop giving out care to those who are very sick, simply drug them up so they die without pain. Now there are arguments to be made on this. In the US we push to keep people alive as much as possible and give them a lot of care, but is it worth it?
1
@gnomechomsky2524 they don't. Amenable mortality is an issue every nation faces. Also, many nations like France and Sweden have a higher death rate with the virus.
1
What pandemic? The 7 day average in deaths is dropping again today.
1
Joe Average the seven day average in deaths dropped again. This virus is not that deadly. Time to open back up.
1
What pandemic?

Joe Average deaths dropping

How do you provide it? That is the issue. There are many routes but in the end resources are limited.
1
That was legislating from the bench which is not the job of the courts. Also, the point of the individual mandate was to balance out the situation of forcing insurance to cover people. With the individual mandate gone the law should, arguably, be gone as well.
