Considering how Trump attacked CNN, it is safe to assume that CNN is just projecting right now.

The US spends a lot of resources settling conflict off of the battle field.

Andres Luedeke, the world is different then it was decades ago. We are the top simply because of our economic size and influence. I was in London the other day and people there were talking about The Walking Dead, a show filmed in the US. However, with the exception of the Middle East and parts of Africa, the world is developed. Who is on top does not matter anymore.

Kyle's show is dying, just like the ultra left is dying. He is going to have a hard time getting his audio fix.

I have stated that the US should isolate themselves from the world. Pull our military out and make trade difficult. See how the rest of the world reacts when they have to defend themselves and create their own drugs for healthcare. They will shut up real quick about how "crazy" the US has become.

Jarred, the US leads the world in research and innovation of technology and healthcare. It is the driving force in innovation. Japan does well but that is only because they have a culture that literally works themselves to death. Germany is strong but they, compared to the US, has a fascist country as in they hand pick who can and cannot go to college.

"Yes, please do. Maybe we can move forward without the US constantly sticking their high-explosive noses into everyone else's business." With the exception of the Middle East the entire world is peaceful. We spend a lot of resources promoting peace. To call the US violent is simply not understanding the world around you. "Oh, as for drugs: Bayer, one of the largest pharmaceutical corporations, is German, and both Roche and Novartis are Swiss. So, 3 of the top 5 pharma corps are European, not American. I think we'll do just fine." Johnson and Johnson is near the top. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_pharmaceutical_companies_by_revenue Other sources produce similar results. Expand the list to top 10. "Europe can defend itself," Really? Are you forgetting the recent terrorist attacks?

"No, the entire world is not peaceful." I never said it was. I admit, I forgot to mention areas in Africa, but as a whole the developed world is peaceful. Places that are not peaceful are failing countries. "Yeah, Johnson and Johnson is at the top, but 3 other, European companies are pretty close to them." Expand the list to 10 and see how many US companies are there. "9/11 killed more people than all Islamic terror attacks in Europe combined." Which was one attack.

Sarge Rho, there is no legal definition of a mass shooting. When you make up a definition it can either be on ever 25 hours, or only around 3 a year.

"Students don't have a choice if they can go to university or not in the US, either, as far as I'm aware. " Yes they do. If they can't get into one college they can apply for smaller colleges or even JC's or CC's. The California school system has it so if you apply to one UC school and do not get in they recommend you for other UC schools. "The US may lead in healthcare innovation, but as long as healthcare inaccessible to many people because they can't afford it, those innovations are worthless." It is very accessible. In other countries they ration their care as well.
1
"As of 2013, an incident is considered a Mass Shooting is when more than 3 people are shot in one incident. That's the most commonly used definition." Cite me the legal definition. That definition is made up by some independent site.

"Do students get in if they can't meet the entrance requirements?" Depends on the university or college. "Do you even have entrance requirements for University in the US? " Yes. However, if you do not meet the requirements for one college, there are others with lower standards. For example, if one does not get into MIT there are other colleges one can go to. We have CC's and JC's to attend. If they can prove their worth there then they can get in. "While other countries do ration their care, they don't do it based on wealth, but based on severity." Which can be vague at times. Sometimes the severity is not determined until after it is looked at. A headache might not seem severe unless it is a tumor. You do not know until tests. So you can be waiting for tests on something that is not severe on the surface, but in reality it is.
