The announcement is that Bernie and his supporters will have another rally.

Elizabeth Warren is not well liked in Congress and is very off putting as a politician. She is the last person the democrats want to promote.
3
Yeah, what it is going to be is another rally. I mean, they seem to work in the past......

The reason why democrats are losing is because they have become full of crap. Their economic policies don't work and they took victimizing to the extreme. For example, in the past it was great to push the idea of treating people all colors, sex an sexual orientation equally and not have a government oppress them (like Jim Crow Laws). But now it has swung in the other direction. To democrats if you disagree with them you are racist. Of when you have a gay couple wanting a cake shop bake a cake for their wedding and they refuse, they use the government to shut that business down. That is no different than using the government to force gay people to use a different drinking fountain. Democrats have gone off on the deep end and need to become more moderate. Not everything is about race or gender.

No. Bernie is extremely radical and is making the party look desperate and pathetic. If Trump is successful than people will continue to ignore the radical left forcing them to become more moderate. Now with that said, there is something to be said about removing the corporate democrats. But ones with radical policies like Bernie are not going to win.

"In fact there have been many, many polls and studies that have shown had Bernie run against Trump rather than Hillary he would have won by a LOT" The same polls that said Clinton was going to win Michigan? Or how 87% of the population want background checks on guns but that law did not pass in Maine and only passed in NV by 0.45%? " The American people agree and support almost all the policies that Sanders ran on in the primary. " Yep, so much so that they voted republican at both the federal and local levels. ". Trump has the lowest favorable rating of any president as a candidate or incoming president." But yet he won. "The polls on favorability for Bernie hafe been steadily high and people from young to old, conservative to liberal, independent or unaffiliated ALL find qualities they agree on when it comes to his character." But yet, he lost. "The majority of Americans aren't as comfortable with right wing policy in this age and era of time" But yet, republicans won and have been winning for the past few election cycles.

Bernie is not a moderate. He is a radical and when faced with opposition on economic policies his only responses are "millionaires and billionaires" "the 1%" "Big corporations" People became sick of his rhetoric and voted republican.

FDR turned a recession into a depression and both FDR and Johnson created the problems we have today.
1
Uh, no. We were under a depression during FDR's time.
1
"but don't bat a single eye when it comes to spending billions on wars" I am concerned about that as well. But that leads to a different argument of what the federal government is allowed to do according to the constitution. Also, there is another layer to that in terms of supply and demand.
1
Nope, FDR turned a recession into a depression. He was elected as many times as he was because the incumbent always had the inside edge, just like Obama was re-elected despite republicans winning congress and numerous offices at local levels. How many presidents post 1900 only served one term?
1
"How many presidents post 1900 served four consecutive terms?" Well considering how after FDR they changed the law to limit it to two I would say that would play a role. Also, previous presidents respected Washington and served only two basically meaning FDR has qualities of a dictator. "Okay then fucking give up your social security and medicare when your eligible." Considering how I was forced to pay into it I won't. But I would be glad to eliminate the programs all together. Also, Medicare was established in the 60s. FDR died in 1945. Fun fact for you.
1
"I mean I guess the prosperity of the postwar years, and the fact that we were the envy of the middle class had nothing to do with FDR your right." A lot had to do with how our immigration laws were stricter than and every other nation on earth was rebuilding and we weren't giving us an edge economically since we were making everything. ". The depression ended well before FDR left office." Only because of the war. Name me the only other recession that a decade to recover from? There has been only one. "guys like you are the reason the Democrats lose" No, voters are.
1
The economy was in a recession like what always happens. Recessions happen, how we recover is key. What made it a depression was the long recovery. Hoover did a lot in 1929 that hindered recovery and FDR expanded on his programs. In 1921 we had a major recession and the federal government did nothing and we recovered in a year.
1
That is around 1/3 of the presidents. You also have to remove Kennedy as he was killed and was seen as favorable at the time and thus would have won (or had a high chance). Harding died in office as well in office and two republicans followed in his place meaning he was most likely favorable as well. So that is only four which again supports my case that the incumbent has the edge on elections. I advice you do better research.
1
He did turn a recession into a depression. Every recession except for two took around 5 years or less to recover from and all had little to no federal government action. The two that took the longest to recover from were the great depression and the recession of 2007 (that we still haven't recovered from). They were also the only times we had the federal government trying to "fix" the economy with massive spending and more regulations. That is how FDR turned a recession into a depression. So no, I am not re-writing history.
1
"All the other recessions didn't saw the economy collapse completly." Yes they did such as in 1921, the panic of 1837 or the Panic of 1873 and so on.
1
Yes, the economy did collapse in 1921. There is more to the economy than unemployment. Also, unemployment is not the measure of the economy, GDP growth is.
