Actually a lot of our problems is from the fact that government have overreached as a whole to begin with.

@rookymusic6310 except the nations you guys want to copy, as in the Scandinavian nations, have more of a flat tax, lower corporate tax rates, no wealth tax, no min. wage, and more of a free market. Basically the complete opposite you guys want.

Not really. West just virtue signal and offers no actual solution.

@MrHat. not according to Bernie. According to Bernie white people do not know what it is like to be poor.

Cornel West is an example of the academic system having problems. The fact that guy has a PhD is sad really. All he does is virtue signal and never gives an actual solution to the so call problems we have.

Not true. What is needed is intellectual thought. That has never been done. All groups like BLM have done is simply march as opposed having a dialogue. All this violent protest is doing is harming others and pissing people off. The people you are pissing off are the ones you need on your side.

@kristavaillancourt6313 non violence tactics were never tried. When did anyone push to have an intellectual discussion on this issue? Never. All people did was march and cry racism as opposed to having a discussion.

roven 08 how will you get UBI when the cities and states have to spend money to rebuild?

Those nations have problems as well.

@rvb553 Those European nations Bernie wanted to follow had more of a flat tax, lower corporate taxes, no wealth tax, no min. wage, etc. Basically they do exactly the opposite of what Bernie wanted.

@Samuel-wl4fw In Denmark their highest tax bracket covers those who earn 1.5 times more than the average. In the US it is 8 times the national average. So Denmark has more of a flat tax compared to the US. The US tax system is way more progressive. Basically, people want the Nordic style of spending with US style of taxation.
1
@Samuel-wl4fw you also have to consider the issue of culture and how Denmark has a vastly different culture compared to the US. Culture plays a role. I just took an international business course for my MBA and 3/4 of the class was culture.
