The Ice Bucket challenge is dumb.  It is as dumb as the whole pink thing with breast cancer research.  I am not against raising money for research but there are other problems out there.  More people die from prostate cancer than breast cancer but there is no awareness of that. We have been researching ALS for decades and haven't gone far. Same with breast cancer.  The big problem is that doing research on one particular problem in general is not the best approach.  We should do research to solve many problems.  How about we raise money doing that and not limit ourselves to one thing.
