Algie, it does change. The financial situation of someone earning $5 million a year is completely different than someone earning $30,000 a year. For example, when I was earning $8/hr I worked as a cook at a restaurant. Now compare that to a colleague of mine who earns $200,000 a year. They are responsible for the finances of their clients, they are responsible for their well being, they are responsible for a lot and have to know a lot. A wealthy business owner creates many jobs and wealth for our society.
Warren Buffet pays himself $100,000 a year. He does not have millions. He is worth millions because he pays himself through shares of his company. If you tax 90% of Buffet's income he will have only $10,000. That, again, is how their financial situation is different.

LaviArray, the countries listed are not socialist countries and they do not do what Bernie and his supporters want. Countries like Norway, Denmark, Iceland etc. have lower corporate tax rates, no min. wage, have higher oil productivity, a free market when it comes to employer/employee relationships. Bernie and his fans want higher corporate taxes, a higher min. wage, less oil productivity, etc.
You also have to consider the differences in culture those nations have and the fact that they have much smaller populations. You really can't compare them to the US and you can't say that what they do would work in the US. All Behar did was list countries without any details.
McCain's argument had flaws but she is right, most in the midwest are not going to support the ideas of people like Bernie and AOC. Behar is another New Yorker that lives in a bubble and has no connection with people from the Midwest.

Algie, I agree that the wage for someone worth billions is different, and that is my point. You just can't say "tax them at 90% and they will have millions" or something like that because you, unlike that person who earns $30,000, are not taxing income. You will have to tax their stock options which can harm the company.
Now if you want to talk about how messed up and complicated our tax code is we can, but fact is this, rich people have completely different financial situation. Just because they have more money does not mean you can tax them more and claim they will still be fine.
Businesses want to make working conditions better or they will lose good workers. Businesses do push for better working conditions. That is why they, without government regulations, offer lunch time and paid vacation.
Robotics replacing workers is not bad, it frees up people to do other jobs with more skills.
