He lost, get over it.

Electing Bernie would have been a mistake. He is a narcissistic nut.
2
Remember, when Bernie lost the primaries he sold out and bought a third home.

"Vermont is one of the smallest states in the country" Less people and lower prices. I don't see an issue.

"Bernie can't do it all alone!" This is why I supported limited government. Bernie is one guy. While he may be great and all, his policies will just make our situation worse. If we allow the federal government to have the power to control our healthcare what makes you think future politicians won't abuse it?
1
" I can't assure you that government won't abuse his power (we have to realize that the private market does it too)" The private market has no power. All they can do is offer you a product and/or a job. Government can do things by force an has a track record in doing it. "but when we talk about health care the only way to have a functioning system is non-profitably" Why? " but power doesn't mean only government, the Koch brothers just bought several conservatives votes in the trumpcare debacle"' Yes, the Koch brothers bought out politicians, the government. The government has power. If it had not power or if we, the people, can control it than it can't be bought. I have never seen the Koch brothers arrest someone or force someone to give them their money. Government has. You control government by making it more local.
1
Daniel Pierik, for as bad you you feel the Koch Brothers and Walmart are, have you ever seen any of them arrest anyone? Or forced anyone to work for them? Or force anyone to give up their money?
1
Daniel, government does that, not companies.

And this will not even come to a vote, so what's the point? Oh, that's right. Bernie is delusional.

Because the reality is that most people are moderates and the current system we have is not terrible. And when you compare what we have to single payer single payer is not any better. Thus single payer will only happen if it is forced down our throats much like Obamacare was.
1
"Bernie tryed it in vermont but it failed because of cost" Bernie did not owe up to the failure though.

"California has the biggest economic growth %" Not true

http://www.aei.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/-the-business-of-health_110115929760.pdf Read that book. It runs through the stats and shows that single payer is not any better than what the US has. These are actual experts on the field that did this on their own free time and not some politician trying to buy votes.

IshtarNike, that book is written by two professors, one that is the chair of their department. How about you criticize what is in the book as opposed as who published it. They cite their sources (many that are peer reviewed) and they give their methods. "but there's plenty of other contrary evidence. " That comes from where? What are their methods and citations? I am not saying that book is 100% correct and I disagree with parts of it. But in the end they do the statistical regression and show that depending on how you look at the numbers you get varying results meaning that single payer does not produce better results. It is not to say it is terrible, it is simply saying that single payer is not better. "Tell that to the millions denied care for preexisting conditions, that's a direct result of profit seeking" Yes, the US system has problems. And we can discuss why. But how about you tell the millions that can't get coverage and have to wait on waiting list in single payer that single payer is good. Again, the US system has problems, but so do other systems.

Angel Fox, two things. One, is Kyle a legit source? Is Bernie Sanders? Has Bernie even said how much his plan will cost? Next, that book is written by two professors, one who is the chair of their department. They cite many sources that you can look up, some of the peer reviewed. They give all their methods and numbers. YOu can read it yourself and come up with an intelligent rebuttal. Or you can just say what you said and remain ignorant, your choice. But I will ask you again, is Bernie a legitimate source for this topic? And if so, why? Remember, these two professors work in this field for a living and wrote that book for free. They had nothing to gain.
1
"That book actively perpetuates the lie that our healthcare system is the best in the world i" Clearly you did not read the book as it never made that claim. All it did was show that if you remove two variables the US is number one in life expectancy. And yes, it does use real world data and does give their sources. But again, it does not say the US has the best healthcare system in the world. I suggest you actually read the book if you want to make a proper criticism of it. Also, you still have not answered my question. Kyle has a degree in political science, how is he an expert? Bernie has never worked in the healthcare field, how is he an expert?

80% of people voted against it in Colorado.

"People like Bernie are nice, but the person after him might not be as nice." The sad part is that Bernie supporters don't think like that. They are delusional which is why they support socialism to begin with.
