@b_radfriendship if we reopen the economy people will have jobs. What is your solution to helping those people? Give money away? Do you want the housing market to explode again? Where is was not factual, when he said the US has done worse to compared to other nations. The US 11th in deaths per capita. Nations like France, Sweden, Spain and the UK are higher.

We take risks all the time in this nation that leads to people's deaths. The number one cause of death is heart attack with around 650,000 a year. That is a price we pay for allowing a company like McDonalds to exist.

@justice5150 in comparing nations that is what matters. How else do you compare nations? Of course we have more deaths compared to Spain, we have nearly 10 times the population they do.

The whole "facts" argument is asinine. You can give two experts the same set of facts and they can come up with two different, but legit answers. Very simple example, baseball and the home run explosion in the 90s. Many blamed steroids in which steroid usage was high then. So it is factual to say that played a role. However, other factors did as well such as better technology to better scout pitchers and expansion of the league leading to more pitchers who were not MLB ready playing. These issues are complex and go beyond facts.

@b_radfriendship that was the Federal Reserve that did that. It is also complicated. You risk you life all the time, this virus is no different anymore. A UBI will destroy the economy. People defaulted on their loan because they had bad credit but was given a loan to begin with. If you just give money away to people their credit will become worse placing them in a more challenging situation.

Trump handled this very well. Ben is correct as well. There is no clear answer in how to handle this. All Trump can do is ban foreign travel and leave it up to the states. And he does name a policy in how he gave resources to CA and NY. Kyle must be deaf. You cannot just point to deaths as there are many factors. Democrat ran states have a higher death rates. Also, 11 nations have a higher death per capita where nations like France, Spain and the UK are worse than the US.

To start, Trump is not a failed business owner. Next, they are taking advice from scientists. They have scientists working for them. Compare it to this, say you own a restaurant company. Do you necessarily have to be a good cook to own one? No. You hire good cooks and you consult with them. You, as the owner, play a different role. Trump has scientists around him to consult and he goes from there. He isn't making the decisions on his own. Do you think Obama, a community organizer and adjunct night professor in law could do any better?

@doktormcnasty there is. Look at states like NY, NJ, IL, MI, they saw a shart decline in cases. CA was one of the first to shut down and did not see the decline. From what we are seeing now TX, FL, AZ and GA are starting to see a decline in cases as they reach herd immunity.

@yg2522 we are number 1 there because of our large population. That is why you have to look at per capita to which we are 11th beating out nations like Spain, France and so on. And cases are not bad if deaths are still low. The recovery rate continues to climb. Also, cases are now starting to flat line as states like FL, TX, GA and AZ see declining cases. We are doing well. As I said, recovery rate continues to climb, we have expanded testing, there is evidence of herd immunity and so on. But you won't hear that from the media. At the beginning it was all about deaths with pictures of mass graves and temporary morgues in NYC. Now the talk is just about cases. Why? Because deaths are low. Talking about positive progress gives a light at the end of the tunnel. Just fear mongering creates three crowds of people, those who hide in fear, those who are confused, and those who just throw their hands in the air saying "to hell with it" and go back to living life. As for Fauci, he is a fear mongering hack, he is not a scientist. It is one things to give warnings but when that is all you do people tune out. Again, he should give insight on positive news. For example, in May an article was published in Science showing that people who get the virus build up T-cells which means long term immunity. He could have presented that story showing there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we just need to keep fighting. Instead he fear monger and never explained the science to people. There is also evidence of cases dropping here soon. I ran through the numbers and feel by late August cases will be low. I can make better predictions than Fauci.

Dr. Fauci basically did and still to this day. And there is no one simple solution. Trump cannot do mandate universal masks as it is federal overreach. Trump did all he can do, a travel ban in which he was called a radical and xenophobic. The rest of the decisions were left up to the states which all he can do. The left has called Trump a dictator when he does what he always does, leave the issues up to the states. When asked he gave PPE and ventilators to many states. He gave temporary hospitals to NY to use in which they hardly did but instead put infected patients back into nursing homes.

@justice5150 we still have a low death rate. I know how trends work. Based on the trend I am seeing cases should start dropping soon and are in large states like TX, FL, AZ and GA as I predicted. I went through the numbers and predicted cases will stop dropping in many states based on a trend with deaths still being low. I suggest you learn how to read a graph and learn how trends work. Cases are now flat lining in this nation and will drop soon.

Kyle and his fans are here saying Trump could have done this or that but it is easy to armchair QB. It is hard to judge this pandemic but to criticize Trump as much as people are when those who are doing it will, most likely, not have done better is foolish.

He did a great job. He did all he can do. He did a travel ban early on even though people called him a radical and a xenophobic. You do not have to pay for the treatment. For COVID treatment the government does. You are not forced to work. You can go homeless if you want. Also, how do you think goods and services are developed? By people working. But again, you are not forced to work. A UBI is pointless when nothing is being developed.
