Yes, it wasn't a chokehold, Rush was correct on that. There is an issue of 5 cops coming after this guy for breaking a minor laws. This is the liberal paradise. You want big government, well it has to be forced somehow. Take healthcare for instance, we don't have enough doctors, so you would have to force people by law to give out the service of healthcare. I like how Kyle brought up gay marriage. The only reason why gay marriage is an issue is because the government is involved with marriage to begin with, thus big government. And a defensive war? Really? So we should just sit back and let an enemy attack us and than possibly fight back? Right, ok. And a government preventing marijuana is the biggest form of government Kyle can imagine? Ok, he needs to move to N. Korea or Venezuela and see the results of real big government.

TheMasterFailure In cases of law or rules set by an organization (as in the NYPD in this case) they can define what a choke hold is themselves. You see it a lot. Also, was it the hold that made it harm for him to breath of the cops on top of him holding him down? That is the other issue.

Patrick Hogan I agree with you on gay marriage, if a state or local government is going to recognize marriage than they should have to recognize all marriage via the 14th amendment. That was the idea of the constitution, to not have government pick and choose favorites. On war, while many don't believe me or don't realize it but the US spends a lot of time and resources to prevent violence. There is always going to be conflict, we spend a lot of time settling the conflict in a non-violent way. You want to make it the school scenario. America prevents the bully from punching the kid by establishing a stronger relationship with the bully. The bully wouldn't punch the kid to begin with because he would know the kid is a part of America and has a strong relationship with them. If they were America would know and stop it before it started. The kid never gets harmed. Some people think we are assholes but the reality is that if American wasn't doing what they are now than there will be more violence. Other countries simply don't get involved and ISIS is a prime example. It is like the movie, Team American, World Police. Americans are dicks, and we fuck pussies because of it (European countries for example), but we also fuck assholes.

Patrick Hogan You look at the history of this world there has always been violence in it. It is human nature. There is less violence now due to us as a human race simply improving, creating strong ties helps in that. If you look where there are violent conflicts in this world it is in areas where people are simply poor and unaware, or communist countries. We can try to improve their lives and we are, in the middle east we are actually working with those governments, the issue is that the citizens aren't responsive (and in some ways that is good) and terrorists run amuck there.
