Sand Wich Because democrats have a terrible track record on the economy and have done little on the issue on gay marriage and marijuana.

Chris Freeman Clinton was an actual leader that worked well with a republican congress. Under Obama we have seen stagnate growth because Obama has been a terrible leader. Bush was screwed from the beginning with 9/11.

The major problem of healthcare in this country is because of cost. Cost is high because of insurance and will be higher with single payer. When you bring in a 3rd party to flip the bill then prices go up, this is basic economics. Obamacare is a Trojan Horse for socialized care and if you think healthcare is bad now, wait until then. Access to inferior healthcare is just the same as no access to all. A comparison would be if I had no car or if I were given a car that won't start most of the time. I am not in any better situation.

souljaboyisbad It is a stepping stone to single payer for 2 reasons. One, when it doesn't work the government will say they tried the private option (not really) and say it didn't work so will then have to go public. Also Obamacare is like single payer. Everyone is forced to buy or pay a fine so a healthy person will end up paying for a sick person's healthcare through insurance. The ACA doesn't extend coverage, it compounds our problems of a third party being involved in the buyer seller negotiation.

Eric Taylor I know people who have experienced single payer and hated it. I don't like it because it goes against the constitution and the checks and balance systems in the US. I won't mind a single payer option at the state and local level, but at the federal level we have to avoid. We have to keep government as local as possible to see that it actually works. Also, the US is the most diverse country in the world. Socialize healthcare may work in some areas, but will destroy healthcare in other areas. A one side fits all policy is not the answer.
