Bernie never answers the question, that is the issue. Also, you can call a shovel an ice cream truck, but it is still a shovel. There are a lot of similarities in what he wants and what Venezuela has. But you can't go around comparing ourselves to other countries like Bernie wants to do and what Kyle is trying to do. Our societies are way too different. If Bernie tried to impose his ideas on the US and actually get them to pass the change will be so radical that even his own supporters, who most have never followed politics before in their life, will revolt and demand him to stop.

Bernie himself may not be a communist leader. But after he expands the size of the federal government, what is going to prevent future leaders from abusing it? That would be a great question to ask Bernie because he will not have an answer. Maybe one of his supporters will give one but I doubt it.

+Human the finite In order for those programs to work the way they function will have to change drastically. For them to change drastically you have to change how 300 million people think and act. When that starts to occur then his supporters will see the problem and demand it to stop. It isn't as simple as paying higher taxes and then funding those programs. You have to realize that a society has to act different all around. Take "free college" for example. You will be destroying on campus jobs, the NCAA, and scholarship programs offered by businesses.

I have vacation time, I get my college and healthcare paid for. Why should I have to pay higher taxes to fund for those things for other people? And the same goes for others. Do politicians have some special knowledge that people lack that makes them better at spending people's money? The simple fact is that now the federal government is spending more money and have control of more funds. That is expanding it. Those who don't see that are clearly ignorant. 2. He is expanding the tax code by expanding taxes. He already showed that the payroll tax is going up. So unless you don't work at all you are going to pay more in taxes. So your statement of "if you make less than $250 thousand a year Bernie wouldn't increase your taxes at all" is not true. It seems like you need to do some more research on the candidate you support.
