I find it funny that Kyle is making others look stupid but does not realize that CCSS has nothing to do with science standard. The science standards come from NGSS which less than 20 states use. Not all 50 states follow CCSS by the way. Also this is an argument against federal standards. Say every state had to follow federal standards and a group of radical creationists took office, now every school in the nation would be teaching this. This is why we need smaller, more local government.

The fact that the year is 2016 means nothing. There are many issues in science that are unclear. Evolution is one of them. It isn't controversial but it is still researched and studied for a reason.

+May the Science be with You Did you read this part of my comment? " It isn't controversial but it is still researched and studied for a reason." I guess not. In some of my other comments I said there exists ambiguity in evolution but that exists in all of science. Go take an evolution course. Now mind you it is a grad level course that requires a lot of work if taught correctly. When you do you will see there is a lot of ambiguity. And where in my comment did I ever cite the bible? You jumping to conclusions and making assumptions is making you look pretty dumb right now.

+TechReflection But this has nothing to do with CCSS. NGSS are the science standards.

+TechReflection I agree that CCSS are not good. But not every state follows it.

+Alic Unknown I can argue against that. You excite one with visible light and when it relaxes down to the ground state it emits photons. That is observing it.

+Newton FlamingLaserSword Freedom comes at a cost. If you don't like it than push to keep it out of our local schools. In reality this is a danger of government. Government controls education and thus can lead to indoctrination. Imagine if this was occurring at the federal level.

While controversial is a poor phrase to use there does exist levels of ambiguity. Take a course in evolution (which is typically a grad level course) and you will see that.
