RandomGuy7092, the political left is extreme left now. That is why they do not control anything. They are stuck in a bubble and lost. And now Trump is president and having success. Come 2020 he will dominate the election.

"I don't understand the appeal behind conservatism. The conservative policies have failed dramatically all throughout history, so you'd think there would be a little incentive to progress and adapt." Many conservative policies work out very well. Also, in many cases change is not good. Would you support removing the 1st amendment, or the 4th, or 5th, etc? There is value in change, but at the same time there is value in resisting change. Anyone who completely dismisses one side, like you are, is very ignorant.

Saying single payer is "cheaper" is not an argument as you are excluding several variables. My rent is cheaper than my boss's rent. Does that mean my apartment is better than his house? While I feel the math argument is weak as well the reality is that nothing suggests that single payer is significantly better, if it is better at all.

You can say the same thing about Bernie.

KpitGangsta, not true at all.

Mous C, no one denies Trump's bankruptcy. With success comes failure. How many games has Joe Torre lost as a manager? I guess he is a shitty manager because he lost to the Diamondbacks in the WS.

Trump does support the working class. The working class is intelligent, they just want to live their lives. Trump is very intelligent and knows what people want and will give it to them. And as a result the economy is growing. As for Trump not knowing what it is like to struggle, that is irrelevant. My doctor has never had cancer, does that mean he should not help cancer patients? One can make an argument for Bernie Sanders. He stole electricity from his neighbor. He never had a real job out side of politics. He has no desire to learn how businesses operate or how the economy actually functions. Why do people support him?

Aeroldoth3, unemployment is going down, worker participation rate is going up, and interest rates are increasing.

PlatanoRico86, those jobs were gone long before Trump was in office. The increase in online sales has led to less retail stores being open. Also, it isn't that they were fired. In places like Walmart, for example, they are give severance package of payment for a few months so they are given time to find a job. There will always be job loss and companies shutting down no matter how strong an economy is. You are looking at a very minute sector of the economy.

FDR was raised rich. He was the establishment at the time. Reagan did a lot to help out the middle class where the economy boomed under him even with the S&L crisis of the 80s.

R. m, how are justice democrats doing right now?

Trump wants abortion to be left to the states. I never heard him say if he was for or against abortion, he just wants the states to decide.

For the most part you are correct. The vast majority of Trump voters are middle class Americans that cannot relate to the political left. The political left, since the Bush election, has gone off on the deep end. During the Obama years if you ever opposed him you were called a racist. The left has a major problem of identity politics. They have a problem of not being able to connect with the middle class. You have Hilary who refused to talk to the middle class in swing states, and you have Bernie "white people can't be poor" Sanders who refuses to listen to the vast majority of the middle class. That makes up the left. Bill Clinton at least listened to the other side. A great example is how Bill conversed with Herman Cain in 1994. Bernie Sanders, in the same situation during the Ted Cruz debate in healthcare, had a "fuck you" attitude towards a business owner. What American needs now is a stronger connection and force the political left to become more moderate and actually listen to people. There is a reason why republicans control so much.

Israel Rosario Jr., most of those executive orders placed by Obama that Trump is repealing were signed by Obama almost right before he left to put the next president in that place. So if the next one is a democrat they will keep them, but if they were a republican and they repealed it "useful idiots" would scream bloody murder. The water pollution standard one, for example, was unnecessary as standards were already in place. What did we do before those standards? You become perturbed by Trump removing those standards there were never in effect to begin with. The mental health on and guns was an issue of lack of due process. You can't take away rights without due process. You have too look deeper into these issues and not just go on talking points. This is not to defend Trump 100%, but you are having a double standard when it comes to him and not representing him fairly in any way.

Israel, I can break each issue down, but to cover a couple more " How about his support of a pedophile for Congress for no other reason than to ensure that Republicans kept a seat in the House? " If you are talking about Moore he was accused of something but never found guilty. Bernie Sanders' wife is being accused of something, do you feel she is guilty as well? " How about his using Twitter to provoke an unnecessary war with North Korea which will kill millions of people for no other reason than his ego?" No war is going to be started with N. Korea. Kim Jong-un is not an idiot. He is all bark and no bite. He knows any war will kill him where he lives a luxurious life as is. Again, look deeper into these issues. You are crying bloody murder on issues you know little about.

Israel Rosairo Jr., if you understand the issues then why do you go to talking point? If you are educated you should understand the mental health and gun issue Trump repealed. It involved lack of due process. Do you not support due process? You should understand the water regulation order by Obama that Trump repealed and realize that it was never enforced. You should realize what Besty DeVos's plans are in education and how she wants to give more power to the states. " Trump is dismantling every initiative designed to address issues and concerns that strike the working/middle class directly in favor of corporations," Such as? You need to give me examples. "instead he just signed into law the biggest transfer of wealth over to the top 1%" Nice talking point. You made a claim but did not give any examples or reasons. You said " If he were revoking those executive orders and proposing policies to actually address those issues" But gave no issues to address. ". As for Moore, multiple REPUBLICAN women have come out with similar stories all completely unaware of each other plus we have his own documented words about dating teenage girls as a man in his 30s" Again, accusations. But I guess Bernie Sanders' wife is guilty then, agreed? " I bet you think OJ is innocent too, right?" In his second trial he wasn't. In the first you are innocent until proven guilty. I can be consistent. "And he just gave a massive funding boost to the military on top of that." Defense spending has been dropping for years. " I'm well versed on public and political affairs." With your talking points and you calling me a "rightwinger" when I am a moderate, I doubt that.
