If you don't like how your job pays you or the hours you get then quit and find another job. It isn't the companies fault that you decided not to better yourself, all they did was offer you a job.

Andrew Hagopian It isn't a dogmatic response but it is the truth. Unions have shown to kill job because if the union forces more pay they then the cost has to come from somewhere and it means less jobs for those who are at a disadvantage. It also means that eventually a company will move to another state to avoid paying workers too much. People mention higher wages for union workers, it doesn't mention the cost of living in those areas. I live in a right to wok state and cost of living is cheap. So while they may be earning less their dollar goes farther. Working environment has increased due to competition, hours have decreased due to competition and wages increased due to competition. You increase the strength of unions then you make things worse. It isn't that unions are inheritably bad, just that they have become too powerful and are doing more harm then good now.

Andrew Hagopian RTW states typically have lower unemployment. Also the five states with the lowest poverty rates, when PPP is considered, are RTW states. CA is not a RTW state and is number on in poverty.

kien spicer If you are overpaid as an employee then the business will go under. I won't go to McDonalds because of my skills and work ethics I am worth more then the min. wage and I have benefits due to my work ethics.

How many jobs do unions kill? They may "pay more" but at what cost? Also does that pay increase include cost of living? That would be interesting to see. And it isn't right to work for less, if you don't have a job due to unions and after right to work you do have one then you are making more. If you need a union to get paid more and feel protected in your job then you need to reconsider how much you are worth in the market. In the end Wisconsin wanted this, they voted for the guy and they can always move if they don't like it. I heard Detroit supports unions and has cheap homes.
