The system Bernie supporters are mad at is corruption, I would agree. Most people agree. The problem is that Bernie supporters are delusional if they think Bernie's ideas will work. Here is the dangers of Bernie's policies. Take our current government now that is corrupt and now add on it controlling our healthcare, college education, infrastructure spending, jobs, more of our money etc. Is that a solution? Please, any Bernie supporter tell me how you plan on giving the federal government that much power and not expect it to remain corrupt and thus being even more dangerous.

+Zach Gallagher And how do you do that?

+Omid S People have been talking about money in politics for decades. Money and corruption in politics is as symptom of a disease. The disease is a federal government with too much power. If the federal government had limited power, like what is listed in the constitution, then problem will not exist. Expanding the powers of the federal government is going to make the situation worse, not better.

+Zach Gallagher At the state level you have the ability to control government more. If a state government fails then people will move and remain US citizens.

+Omid S I see a lot of misinformation being passed around

+Zach Gallagher Do you have an actual rebuttal?

+Omid S Follow the constitution. It places strict limits on all government, especially the federal government. Corruption in the federal government is simply a symptom of a disease. The disease is a federal government with too much power. The more local government is the easier it is to control. Following the constitution and going back to state rights is the way to go. There is a desire to have government, but we must control that government to ensure it remains the servants and not the masters. When you go from local to state and then state to federal you begin to lose that control.

+Zach Gallagher If you can't come up with an actual rebuttal then I am going to just assume that you have no clue what you are talking about. Please don't vote.

+Zach Gallagher Translation: "I am so ignorant on the topic that instead of giving an actual rebuttal I am just going to call the other person stupid" There is a reason why the founding fathers established state rights. If you are going to give an actual rebuttal then I suggest you give one. Until you do I am going to place you in the same group of people that go "Derp, we don't need no guberment, derp". Congrats, you are not in the same group as right wing radicals....how does that make you feel?

+Zach Gallagher No state wants to lose productive people. If a state is corrupt then they will lose people who are productive and fall apart. A the state level people can move and remain US citizens. Also any bad decisions made by government can be contained. Imagine what would happen if a Flint like incident were to happen at the federal level? Also at the local level you have more control of the government. Right now congress has an 11% approval rating but a 96% retention rate. People feel their representative is fine, they just hate others. At the local level you have the advantage of seeing if government is actually working for you and doing what the people want and if your money is being spent well. You have a bridge that needs repaired, you see that it gets done at the local level. At the federal level they will spend money on building an arch in St. Louis instead. The more local government is the more control you have over it. I met both candidates for mayor in my city. I met both candidates of sheriff. I see if things are actually getting one in my city. If I like I vote them in, if not I vote them out. If that doesn't work then I move. At the federal level there are two problems 1. It is boom or bust 2. It is trying to do a one size fits all policy There is a desire to have government. Too much government is just as bad as no government. You are supporting too much government.

There is a lot of truth here. A lot of Bernie supporters don't vote during midterms or don't even know how government functions. They all cry for democracy when we are not a democracy at the federal level. They will vote for Bernie but will be unseen come midterms and local elections. People who are informed and have the most to lose due to poor government action vote the most. These same people voting for Bernie most likely can't even name off their own mayor or sheriff, both elected positions.
