  1. You want a simplified tax code. With a complex tax code only the rich benefit by two ways 1. They lobby to create loopholes 2. They can afford lawyers and accountants to know what write offs to use I support two federal tax systems. The pre 1913 one where only the states were taxed. Or a flat income tax with a consumption tax. On the latter one everyone pays the same percentage of their income. With the added consumption tax, though, the rich end up paying more. Think about it, the rich will buy more expensive cars, clothes, food, etc. so they pay a higher tax in the end. But they have the choice in doing so. Very simple. Also, the consumption tax taxes immigrants.

  2. ch33tos sesh, recessions happen. That is what happened under Bush. The problem is that we did the bailouts which made the situation worse. If the federal government should have done nothing. Also, under Bush we did not simplify the tax code.
