Patrik Nekrotik That video by Kyle was completely deceptive. That is like saying driving a car increases your chances of getting in a car accident.

***** We already have laws on the books. All proposed laws wouldn't have stopped an single one of these shootings unless you completely outlaw guns. When you outlaw guns crime will go up. In all you don't have a solution.
2
***** You seem to think that just because the federal government passes a law that all of a sudden crime will stop.

***** The idea that someone has a gun on the other side of the door, or that the potential victim has a gun has it so criminals won't commit the crime to begin with. Look at a tendency of criminals. Most break ins of homes are when the owners isn't there. Most mass shootings occur in gun free zones. Talking to people who have had their car broken into had something of value in visible sight. Thus the criminal quickly broke into the car, got what they wanted and left. Criminals will take the path of least resistance. Removing guns out of innocent people's hands will make the path easier thus crime will go up. What we should be doing is finding a way to prevent people from turning to crime, actually tackle the problem instead of removing our rights. The problem is that people don't want to work on the issue, it is much easier take away things instead of solving the problem. You can remove the guns but the criminal mind will still exist. How about you cure the mind.

TrueTacticia There is some truth with video games. Adam Lanza did some strategy that is used in video games during his shootings. What he was doing was reloading before entering a room. Not really something one can use to say it brings up violence, but it is connected.

TrueTacticia A 21 year old kid with no training? Not really. Movies could play a role as well I do agree. In all I do support the stance that video games are not to blame, but they do play a small role.

***** Not really. You really don't know how the common man acts.

***** Law enforcement who get involved in drug raids are trained for little attention to details like that. I bet you or most on this board would have never thought of doing such actions without me mentioning it.
1
***** It is one thing to start out a raid. But going from room to room that is something different. Under pressure and doing something you have never done before, without proper training then you simply won't do what an outsider will think is obvious after hindsight.

schackmountain Common sense is never a valid argument. To answer your question, pressure. Lack of experience and training. It sounds like common sense to you as an outsider, but when actually doing the action it is completely different.

The problem is that race will be brought up way too much. Was there a racist motive of the shooter? Most likely. But that doesn't mean that racism is a large problem in this country because it isn't. But the left is going to be just as bad as the right and run around claiming racism is a huge problem in this country.

Unknown Last I checked Obama and the democrats kept blaming republicans for a lot of things. It goes both ways.

***** "There are many alleged bad guys shot and then it turns out it was two guys having an argument where one guy kills the other and then tells the police he was standing his ground, it was self-defense, the other guy started a fight, the other guy attacked me, ... blah blah blah." You didn't give a great example and you are not supporting your case well. You can find several examples of potential mass shootings being stopped with a legal gun carrier. You can find 9 of them from buzzfeed.com. Also the idea that there could possibly be a gun stops people from committing crime. Noticed how most of these mass shootings happen in gun free zones?
