Polls in Michigan has Clinton winning by as much as 6 percent. Even though Maine and NV are lightly populated. 90% is high. So the fact that background checks failed in Maine and hardly passed in NV is a clear indicator that poll is not accurate at all. Also, that 90% was nowhere near everyone's opinion. The Gallup poll, for example, was of 1100 people which is far less than the population of Maine and NV. On your question, background checks already happen, it is a non issue.

You really can't. A Gallup poll said 87% of people wanted universal background checks on gun sales. That law failed in Maine, and only passed in NV by 0.45%. These polls are not that accurate.

Except people voted for him and he won, along with several other republicans. Seems like this is what people wanted. I guess liberals don't like facts, only like polls that are continuing to be wrong.

C C, I am a moderate. As a moderate if any party is the "divide and conquer" party it is the democrats for almost the past 20 years. If you opposed Obama you were called a racist. To democrats everything is about race or sex. Or it is about how the rich are so well off, or as Bernie puts it "the millionaires and billionaires". Fact is that most people don't see others in groups, they don't care. And if they do it is because democrats have made certain groups out to be victims when in reality they aren't. People are not buying into their crap anymore. If Trump is successful the democrats better learn how to become more moderate like they did under Bill Clinton or continue to lose.

I lived in the US during the Clinton and Bush years. There is a problem with Muslims and terrorists. There are Muslims that see the problem and want to fix it but democrats keep crying racism when you do. Clinton was a moderate and one of the best presidents we have had. Bernie Sanders said if you are white you can't be poor.

To defend Hey-O, the polls have been wrong lately. Some polls had Clinton winning to where she lost. Kyle always points towards a poll. on how 90% of Americans want universal background checks on guns, meanwhile that did not pass in Maine and only pass in NV by 0.45% and MO allows people to carry concealed guns without a permit now. Considering how Trump won along with the GOP it is safe to say that his approval rating being low is something you can't take seriously.

It doesn't matter that Hillary won he popular vote, it matters who won the electoral votes when in reality that is a better representation of the country as a whole. 3 million people is less than 1/100 of the population. If 90% of the population really wanted background checks than it would have easily passed on Maine and NV, but it didn't.

I brought it up to give an example on how unreliable these polls are. So I don't really buy into the low approval ratings. I don't see his cabinet picks as being bad, and how many actually know who they are to begin with.

Min. wage jobs are low skilled jobs and several will disappear. Some will still exist, for example the person at the counter at the gym I go to will be there. But the idea of "bringing back jobs" is high paying jobs, not low paying ones done mainly by part time, temporary workers. " especially sicne the guy in charge also is agaisnt any kind of benefits, unions, or raising any form of wages..." I have no idea where you get that idea as nothing suggest they are against benefits and higher wages. Unions maybe, but not against higher wages and benefits. There are companies investing in Michigan again. For example, GM is doing so. Seems like they didn't miss the memo.
