http://fox13now.com/2014/08/11/breaking-man-dead-after-officer-involved-shooting-in-s-salt-lake-police-say/ Do a story on this. . . . . Oh, wait, it won't fit your agenda, never mind.

Hal Jordan I agree. This is more of a response to the incident in Missouri.

Jake Johnson No, they thought the man had a gun. Relatives said he was unarmed. No uproar about this though. But if he was black I bet it would be all over the news.

xdir On the Michael Brown incident there is an investigation and the cop was place on leave.

22steve5150 I have a problem in how there is an over emphasis our society places on unarmed black men getting shot. Here we have a story of an supposed unarmed white man getting shot and there is no alarm. Now an unarmed black man gets shot and the world is going to burn. Obama is making statements, Anonymous, Al Sharpton, there is a riot and so on. People are seeing race here when we should be focusing on just cops not doing their jobs properly no matter what race the person was who got shot.

Doc Julien I find it racist to make a big deal about a supposed unarmed black man getting shot but not the supposed unarmed white man. There is uproar over Michael Brown but none over the story I posted. The media and politics are being racist here.

craze1701 There are stories of Michael Brown attacking the cop. Now it should go to trial first but that comes into play as well.

b- dubz Kyle from Secular Talk won't talk about this story because it isn't going national. It isn't going national because it involved a white guy instead of a black guy. The media drums up the supposed racism that exist in this country way too much. There is racism in this country but it is very small. Yes a cop can kill someone if under attack. They don't know the other person's motives or what they are capable of doing or will do. If you are going to go as far as to attack a cop and reach for their gun then you are a threat to the cop and others. I guess cops can be passive but we will have more dead cops. Black people do commit more crimes, that is a fact. Your assumption that cops are racists is asinine. You yourself would act different if placed in a different neighborhood. If you were in a rich neighborhood during the day you would feel fine. If you were placed in the ghetto at night you would be more cautious. Black people are generally poor and live in the ghetto. I have been to East St. Louis at night and was freaked out by everyone there to where I didn't stop at any stop sign or light. It didn't matter if the person on the street was black or white, in the ghetto I tend not to trust people. Now shift it to on campus during the day I trust almost everyone black or white. Cops are not racist, they are aware of their surroundings and are cautious.

***** But the reaction is different.

knightwing4 I posted this story to show some how bias some people can be in reporting some stories. We should be looking into how cops act and we should not overreact until the justice system goes through. My problem is that the Michael Brown story is so big because supposedly the cop was racist. But if he was so racist how come he didn't kill Michael Brown's friend? That is one less witness around and he was black as well. The media is creating drama and stirring emotions which shouldn't be done right now.

A. Lawrence And that should be the only issue. The race of the person being shot shouldn't mean anything but to some it does.
