Ernest, defense spending is 3% of our GDP, healthcare is 1/6 of our GDP. We can't afford it.

Thezaneable, you are not going to get an intelligent response out of these individuals. They literally live in a fantasy land and deny facts.

"you can tell that they just listen and believe to everything kyle says without a spec of critical thinking," I agree. I have literally given out peer reviewed sources and cited laws showing how wrong Kyle has been. They ignore them. Kyle felt like that no one dies in other countries with single payer healthcare due to lack of access where I gave sources showing that they have. They are not some blogs but peer reviewed sources. And I can dig up a ton if I want. They ignore them. Kyle said that the CA shooter who shot up the elementary school possessed his guns legally which is also not true. It is amazing what people believe.

"Thezaneable the deficit?? Our defense spending caused that." Welfare programs make up a larger portion of our federal budget.

"Hey trolls ....Medicare for ALL will cost $32 trillion over ten years, while doing nothing will cost $49 trillion for health care in the same period. " Two things. 1. Obamacare was supposed to save money. It didn't. So I am supposed to believe that more government will save money? 2. What will the quality be like? Many doctors do not take medicare. " Republican nihilists just voted to add $1.5 trillion to the deficit with tax cuts for the richest that does nothing to add to the economy and restricts fluidity even further. " That is projected based on current growth. If the tax cuts on everyone leads to economic growth at a higher rate than we have now than we will see a surplus.

"I'm on first name basis with economics expert Robert Reich" Reich is not even an economist by trade, he is a lawyer. Reich also made the argument that we should raise the min. wage because it was "common sense". That is not an argument. If he were to defend a PhD thesis in economics making that claim he would fail. Reich also claimed that when the Clinton administration raised the min. wage in the mid 90s it did not lead to higher unemployment and in fact unemployment dropped. That is true. However he raised the min. wage in 1996 and 1997. From 1991 to 1996 overall unemployment dropped from 7.3% to 5.2%. It was already dropping. And from 1991 to 1996 the percent of workers earning at or below the min.wage dropped from 6% to 3.9%. So the trend prior to that increase was that businesses were hiring at a wage above the min. wage already. But Reich ignores that because he is a lawyer, not an economist. If Robert Reich is you economist of choice than you are going to struggle with economics. "Medical expenditures WILL be $32 trillion for services regardless of the system, but Medicare for ALL pays 100% of it through earned benefit contributions." Many doctors do not take medicare. What will the quality be like? I hear nothing but cost from you and not quality.

Also, just because you know these peoples does not give you credentials. I am on a first name basis with a college football coach that is in the college football hall of fame and won a national title. Does that mean I am an expert at coaching football?

Thezaneable, these people only care about feelings. I am just getting entertained watching their heads explode as this channel dies.

Lucas Leitch, Thezaneable said to look it up and he wanted you to look up something specific. In this case the federal budget that showed how we outspend our revenue to begin with. " but that is due to people not making a living wage " What is a "living wage"? A study was done showing that around 90% of workers earning $9.50/hr or less are not poor because they live in a household with a second earner. Most poor earn over $10/hr already or do not have a job to begin with. You saying "living wage" is ignoring many factors. Also, if people were earning a "living wage" does that mean universal healthcare is no longer necessary?

"Also we overwhelming spend more on the military than any other country" We also spend more on education then them. Why? Because our GDP is much larger than them.

When emotions go up logic and reasoning go down. This woman is running an emotional campaign with little to no evidence to support her case. She won't go far on that. She is done from the very beginning.
1
"I've never heard a politician argue with logic before" They have. Ted Cruz does a lot and did in his debate against Bernie Sanders. Also, look up the video of Bill Clinton have a discussion with Herman Cain in 1994. Sad part is many politicians don't these days, especially on the left. But they have.
1
"Little to no evidence? The woman's daughter is dead because of a lack of health insurance." That is one story. You can find situations of people dying in other countries due to the shortcomings in their systems. "She's fighting to make sure no one has to go through that, you included." Which can never be done these days due to lack of resources. Also, my opinion is that single payer is not the best approach for us to take in giving more people care.

Justice Democrats are not going to win. That is why no one cares. Running around displaying economic illiteracy and promising free stuff they cannot deliver will not get you anywhere.
1
"the world is leaving you behind buddy." How so? Come back to me after 2018 and see how many "Justice Democrats" win.
1
Manny C., how is the world leaving me behind then? Please explain that. Until you do all I can do is make assumptions.
1
Manny C., I look at the world around me. Secular Talk is losing views. Seems like people are leaving him. Trump and the republicans won the last election. So can you please explain to me how the world is leaving me behind? Because so far you haven't.

" Multiple gallup polls done across the 50 states show that the ideas kyle proposes are massively popular." So much so that they voted for Trump and the Republicans. When put up to a vote in Colorado 80% said no to universal healthcare. As for gun background checks it only passed in Nevada by 0.45% and failed in another state last election, and MO passed a law allowing people to carry concealed weapons without a permit. You have polls, I have actual results.
1
" the states where it failed there was a massive propaganda campaign that misrepresented the issues." Which led to 80% saying no. Support does not seem that strong at that point. If people really supported universal healthcare it should not take much to convince them to vote for it.
1
If universal healthcare is so popular then why does propaganda lead to 80% voting against it?
