When republicans win people on the left, such as Kyle, blames lack of voter turnout, a corrupt system, gerrymandering, money, and any other excuse out of the book. But when Democrats win than it was a fair system. It is fun to see extreme liberals like Kyle cry after all these years of spouting asinine and myopic statements.

Eric Taylor People who vote the most are usually the most aware. Thus what you are saying is that with a larger voter turnout more ignorant people vote and thus vote democrat. We saw it with Obama. Obama won because it was the "cool" thing to do, and we also saw the larger turnout for blacks in voting ever. Both parties gerrymander, deal with it. We wouldn't have corruption if the federal government didn't have power to begin with.

Eric Taylor Too much government is just as bad as no government. Too much government leads to N. Korea or Cuba. The federal government has a purpose, it is to enforce the constitution on the states, deal with foreign affairs, and deal with commerce between states. The states were to deal with domestic policies and enforce the constitution on the federal government. This whole Somalia and Afghanistan comparison is one liberals always point to for justification of having a strong federal government. What you need to realize that only an idiot would support no government, just like a fool would support a centralized powerful government. You last few paragraphs show how partisan you are. You clearly feel republicans are responsible for all of these problems. You also fell into this indoctrination process that we need the federal government to survive and the states can't handle themselves. That is why we have problems, we have too much government that we can't control.

richard Hines I actually did know that, and I support them.

christopher b Compared to someone who uses gerrymandering an and excuse when both parties do it?

***** Democrats gerrymander as well, and democrats have the choice of doing filibusters. What is stopping them? Seriously, you are blaming republicans when you should be blaming the system. This is a direct result of a big federal government that democrats support as seen in their lack of filibusters.

christopher b There is also evidence online that shows that gerrymandering doesn't benefit republicans, it just depends no what bias source you look at. The Huffington Post may say it does benefit them, but the CATO Institution may say otherwise. The simple fact is that this is what happens when you give the federal government this much power and leave it unchecked. They will play crooked corrupt games to screw us over. You complain about gerrymandering, and people complain about people not getting out and voting, but how much does your vote count in another states.......zero. People complain about all these republicans winning in all these states, but you can only vote for the ones in your state, shows you how much of a voice you have at the federal level. This is the exact same thing Thomas Jefferson feared in his involvement in developing this country.

christopher b You are just making excuses. In the end both parties benefit from gerrymandering. How about the democrats push to change districts more? They had their opportunity? Or how about democrats try to sell themselves more? It is almost like you are saying that the only way a party can win is if they cheat. Plus, it shouldn't matter if the federal government didn't have power to begin with. If the power of the federal government is limited than who is elected should have little influence on your life.

Eric Taylor Yes I would be ok with strong state governments. State and local governments are easier to control and change and we see that with passage of more policies easier at state level. Also if you don't like how a state is ran you can always move and still be a US citizen.

christopher b You are back to making excuses. If you want clear these problem than remove the power of the federal government.

***** You are complaining about the system. I despise what Democrats do. The ACA is terrible and is a step closer to government take over of healthcare, something you don't want. This wouldn't be a problem if the federal government didn't have this kind of problems.

***** Ok, just remember, when you give an entity as big as the federal government power than it can be bought. You are complaining about republicans when you should be complaining about the system.
