Kyle's rant shows how little he knows about economics. It isn't as simple as just taking money and spread it around. You have supply and demand. We lack professors, TAs, dorms, classrooms, tutors, staff, facilities and so on. You can't just throw X amount of money at college and say "there you go, now everyone can go do college". What will happen is that the price of college will go up, or the quality will go down. If it were that simple as just moving money from one place to another then I will be all for it. The reality is that economics isn't magic so it isn't that simple.

So like quantitative easing is magic to Jill Stein she will just make college disappear like magic. I guess economics is just magic now.

How would we end up as a better nation with a bunch of worthless degrees or more national debt?

We don't need and "educated population" but a skilled one. There is a big difference. Noam Chomsky, for example, is highly educated with a PhD but not skilled. Jeff Bezos with no PhD is highly skilled. Jeff Bezos has done way more to advance our society and develop wealth than Chomsky has. Look at the degree difference, engineering vs linguistic. " The demand for buildings , teachers, desks, and the like would increase jobs and help the economy aswell" And who is going to do those jobs? Are people willing to spend years of their life getting PhDs in the STEM fields to do them? Are they going to be willing to go through the stress and put in the time to do them?

" its no secret that our economy is changing and skilled jobs are taken over by robots. " Which is still very far ahead in the future. " A higher level of education is needed now a days than it used to. " Nope, more skills. Also, as technology gets better people should be working less. Jobs are not what we should be pushing for.
1
" they are already replacing hundreds of jobs with machines, its not way ahead in the future, its already happening" For very low skilled jobs. And policies like the min. wage is making it occur faster. "also, jobs are exactly what people are asking for," What we should be pushing for is wealth. "Skills can only be developed with education," Some skills, but not all. It also depends on the degree.

Few things. 1. The US has the best university system in the world 2. Those countries prevent, by law, people from going 3. The US university system is different all around, for example we have the NCAA where other countries don't have anything similar

One can be educated and still be ignorant.

Who will pay for it? No one. It will disappear like magic, just like quantitative easing is magic. Economics is purely magic.
