@limitisillusion7 true. We saw that memorial day weekend with packed parks. I am interested to see how July 4 will be. I bet parks and lakes will be packed with a ton of BBQ going on. I was talking to a coworker today and he went camping and hung out with strangers, no social distancing. More and more people want a normal life. People, mainly on the left, who are scared of this virus are going to be left behind here real soon.

Kyle is wrong on the law. The Supremacy Clause cannot override state law if it is violates the Constitution. That means state rights. What will work is the 1st amendment. And going to church is safe. This virus is not dangerous.

@SapientGalaxy 100,000 is not that much. Despite lockdowns more died with pneumonia than with this virus. It was thought that this virus was very deadly but ended up not being so. Around half of deaths are in nursing home, and around 60% of deaths are in 6 states that make up only 21% of the population. Over 90% are over the age of 55. Basically, almost all who died were either old or sick to begin with and thus were at a high risk of death overall. Fact is we need to reopen and start pushing for herd immunity.

@kendarsin he supports the GND. That will end many private businesses and end up creating government jobs they feel are "essential". Bernie wants to expand the powers of the federal government to create a planned economy like we are seeing now.

No, it is state rights. The Constitution outlines the federal government's duties, the rest are given to the states. You should praise state rights and it creates government that suites their citizens.

Sickening really that many are pushing this and harming people to try to beat Trump. After the election I bet the media will not be saying a word about the virus as they will have to then move onto something else. Sad that this virus should bring us together but TDS is so strong it divides us.

@zacheryeckard3051 the death rate is not that high. Right now the hospitals are open with empty beds. The virus will not spread as fast via warm weather and outdoors. Now is the time to push for it as a vaccine will not come anytime soon. And really you only need around 60% to prevent another spike this winter. Here is a fun fact, more have died from pneumonia during this time, but people do not talk about that. Fact is this virus is not that dangerous and herd immunity should be the goal now.

@SapientGalaxy actually the covid deaths are overstated. The state of CO was criticized recently for counting someone as a covid death because they had the virus but also had a 0.55% BAC level. They later admitted that chances are the deaths are overstated by around 25%.

@christopherloud3990 huh? Did you see his debate against Kirk where all he did was curse and walk away? And he is wrong most of the time. He knows very little. Take this issue here on the Supremacy Clause. The clause still cannot violate state rights. Essentially it is federal law that deals with interstate commerce. Take DUI checkpoints for example. The SC ruled that the states were to deal with it. It started with the MI case of Police v. Stitz that ended up going to the SC. The SC said the states were to handle it. Thus a federal law cannot be created to demand or outlaw dui checkpoints. Kyle knows very little. He has the same handful of talking points and that is it.

Read the studies entitled "Breakthrough: Chloroquine Phosphate Has Shown Apparent Efficacy in Treatment of COVID-19 Associated Pneumonia in Clinical Studies" and "Chloroquine as prophylactic agent against COVID-19?" And Trump never said inject bleach. The reality is this, this virus is not that dangerous. It is simply being abused to people on the left as a final attempt to try to beat Trump. Notice how this is going on during an election year? From Feb. 1 to May 23, according to the CDC, more have died with pneumonia compared to this virus. Most who are dying are either old or sick to begin with. We need to reopen now and start pushing for herd immunity during the summer. There was a recent article in science suggesting long term immunity can take place and some may already have it due other infections from other coronaviruses "T cells found in COVID-19 patients ‘bode well’ for long-term immunity" And again, Trump never said inject bleach. So you are correct, there are people who are scientifically illiterate, and you are one of them. There are millions of ways to die. Gun shot, cancer, car accidents, flu, pneumonia, heart attacking, drowning, etc., but we live our lives everyday. But now this virus is going to stop us? And again, it is not that deadly unless you are old or sick to begin with where you are already near death as a whole. And the current shut down is leading to more suicides, substance abuse, lack of cancer screening, domestic abuse, psychological issues, etc. The care is now becoming the problem, but go ahead and ignore that. You have proven time and time again to not understand science and are essentially a communist. What is going on right now is your wet dream. Many were saying Hydroxychloroquine is dangerous when it isn't. Dr. Daniel J. Wallace has been prescribing it for years with no major problems. You had two doctors from Bakersfield that had their youtube video taken down. Stanford Prof. John Ioannidis says we are overreacting. The original OP said "Its so sad that this is the state of our current nation. The scientific community(especially the medical community) should honestly make big changes after this." Which shows his lack of understanding of science. In science there are debates on complex issues like these, especially when they are novel. You have enough scientists suggesting that we should open up and the virus is not that deadly. They are suggesting being in lock down is going to do more harm. Instead they are ignored and the media makes claims that Trump said to inject bleach. We should listen to all the science and come up with a conclusion. Instead we don't and we have people installing fear to get back at Trump. If you are scared stay home. Others are going to go out and party, and in the next few months when there is no spike I would love to see the excuses than. Many states have been open for weeks and despite more testing new cases are dropping. That is the reality.

As I pointed out while citing experts it is not dangerous and there are promising results. But again, with science, more information is needed. We should not completely dismiss is like you do as that is anti science. You did not give a solid argument on the fact that there have been more deaths from pneumonia compared to the virus. My point is that we have an issue that is causing more deaths but we are not talking about that or going into lockdown. Why? The reason why is because this is an election year and people need to find something to take down Trump. So why are we not locking down from deaths from pneumonia? "My god you continue to link articles to things you don't understand." You say that but you do not explain how I do not understand it. You are really struggling here bud. And when did Trump ever say to inject bleach? "You posted an article that was outdated," And you posted zero studies. " I post numerous scientific papers" When? Here is the reality. You can die from cancer, gun shot, car accident, heart attack, etc. There are also millions of ways you place other people's lives in danger. Driving is one. I am doing it right now by cooking in my skillet. That can cause a fire that will burn down my apartment complex killing others. But we do not lock down for that. But with this virus, that has killed less people than pneumonia, we are now locking down? This is insane. Suicides are going up. Unemployment is up. People are losing their lively hood. The fact is that you ignore all of that. Why? Because you are not a medical student, you are a communist. Congrats comrade for being anti science and a communist. @ryan9877 no. Now is the time to open up. One, to get the economy going, and two, to push for herd immunity. We understand this virus now. We also relieved the healthcare system. Time to open up. Besides, many states have been open for weeks and continue to see low cases despite more tests. FL and GA are two of them.
