This shows how weak Biden is. Biden should not have apologize because he did not do anything wrong.

Exactly. Forced integration is just as bad as forced segregation.

Bernie has no principle.
1
He wasn't for segregation. Way to not understand him.
1
C W , he wanted to leave the idea of force busing and forced integration to the states.
1
C W , states could not segregate as that was banned. Now the question remained if forced integration should take place. That should be left up to the states according to Biden. I agree with Biden's stance on that as driving people out of their school district to force integration is just as bad as forced segregation.

Gore Shade , how is he a racist? This is a state rights issue. No government can discriminate, period. But when it comes to forced integration that is a state and local issue. It is about having standards and sticking to them.
1
@Personrando124 , people here like forced integration. They don't realize that is just as bad as forced segregation. Forcing people to interact does not go well.
1
@knavishknight , integration is forced when you take kids from one school zone and place them in another. For example, if a black kid's school was three blocks away they bused them down to a mostly which school that was 3 miles away. That is what they were doing. They were forcing integration as opposed to allowing kids to go to the school they were zoned for.

@john.james.110 , segregation was bad when it was imposed by the state and government. Government cannot discriminate. If private individuals do that is a different issue.
1
@knavishknight , outlawing segregation simply met that public schools cannot be segregated. For example, if that black kid were to move to a place where they are zoned for a school of all white kids, that school cannot turn that black kid away. Forced integration is saying that a black kid has to attend a school that happens to have all white kids no matter how far away it is. People love the idea of a community which is why many schools are funded by property taxes and why we have zoning in schools.
1
C W , fairness? So forcing them to travel farther is fair? Forcing them to go to schools away from their friends is fair?
1
Uh, Kyle is incorrect here. Schools cannot segregate schools as it violates the 14th amendment. The issue is that many areas was doing forced integration from taking students from one area and going miles away to another when a closer school was nearby. The argument is that if the federal government should be involved in that? I would say no because forced integration is just as bad as forced segregation. Also, schools are localized for great reason.
1
Exactly.
1
It was for both slavery and state rights.
1
@gaston6800 , how am I racist? The issue is that if the federal government should force local schools in integrate. Forced integration is just as bad as forced segregation. Busing students miles away outside their neighborhood to force integration in schools is a debatable issue. Nothing racist about it.
