  1. Brian, I am sure Gorsuch knows all of that. Gorsuch did the smart thing by avoiding a loaded question. He is not going to take a stance on the issue until it becomes one. Congress has the power to impeach and if they do than we will cross that bridge when we get to it. But until then he should not state and opinion on the issue until all the facts are laid out. He is forcing Gorsuch to take a side on the issue and become political when he should partisan. I loved the answer he gave and we need more justices like this. Also, you have to be careful on the 8th amendment. It says "punishment". When doing waterboarding they are doing intensive interrogation, so that does not violate the 8th amendment. Is it moral? That is another discussion, and based on the Geneva Conventions it is illegal from how I interpret it. But by the 8th amendment it isn't as it is interrogation and not punishment.

  2. True, every justice should be like this. They are there to interpret and enforce the law. Not take sides politically. His ruling on Colorado's renewable energy is one the left should love but I don't see the liberal media bringing that up.

  3. He answered the question correctly. It is not up to him to give an opinion on the issue. It is his job to interpret and enforce the law. It is up to congress to impeach Trump, not him.
