It does take work. In the US we have a system where you are given multiple chances. You have a free public education. You are easily get student loans. The US has the greatest college system in the world, and there are cheap colleges to start with. It takes work. Sorry to hurt people's feelings but it does take work. A reason why I am pushing myself to earn a PhD and then earn a lot of other credentials to simply spite the idiots that simply don't want to work hard. And by the way, I didn't come from a rich family.

I guess according to Kyle we should give every $1 million to start out with, equal opportunity, right? You don't realize how stupid you sound Kyle when you talk like that?

triburst There are a group of people who simply like to make excuses. There are people who have "success" doing it by they max themselves out and they were people who may have started out well to begin with. Others not so much but they still make excuses so they never get better. In the end, making excuses as opposed to working hard is what holds people back.

Techgunius I never said cheapest in the world, but the US does have the best system in the world. There is a reason why the US is number one in innovation and research in science and technology, our university system is great. Comparing other colleges, in the US, especially with graduate students you can receive stipends and in worst case scenarios loans to attend college. Other colleges don't do that. Talking to my colleagues who are from another country they picked the US because in their graduate studies they get paid to go to college. I asked why not Germany because it is free and they said they will still have to work to make a living and they can't speak German. Since almost the rest of the world speaks English people from other countries can come for a college education in the US. But in a big picture, why do you think something that is "free" is great? Ever heard you get what you pay for?

***** I do see those people, I grew up around them and worked with them. They taught me how to work hard. They were people that I respected the most in a lot of ways. And they weren't sexually abused, or beaten, or hungry. You are simply making things up at this point, I suggest you work with those people and see what life is about.

Daniel Tibirisa Yes, there are people who were at a disadvantage. The local society and communities should help them out. A problem we have in this country, and it is growing, is that people simply don't want to help their own neighbors. They want the federal government to do it. Instead of someone helping one person in the community and that person helping someone else and so on, people just want to be liberal with other people's money. It is a sad system we are developing.
